ALISSA'S POV

I went outside and saw my dad waiting beside his car.

"Andiamo in Italia oggi? " I asked him.

T: Are we going to Italy today?

"No, ho degli affari in sospeso qui, quindi ce ne andremo dopo che me ne sarò occupato,"  he said.

T: No, I have some unfinished business here, so we'll leave after I take care of that.

"Okay,"

"Hop in," Dad said

"Yes, wait a minute," I said and walked towards Asher and gave him a hug.

We broke the hug, and I was about to leave when he wrapped his arms around my waist and gave me a kiss.

"Uh, qualcuno può spiegare cosa sta succedendo qui prima che uccida qualcuno,"  dad, who was looking at Asher with a killer gaze said.

T:Uh, can someone explain what's going on here before I kill someone?

"Ho baciato la mia ragazza," Asher smirked at my dad. He knew he was playing with fire. Nate, who was standing next to Asher, shivered when he saw the dangerous glare coming from my dad, directed to Asher.

T: I kissed my girlfriend

"Cosa hai detto? " he walked towards where we stood

T: What did you say?

"Ho detto che ho baciato la mia ragazza, che è anche tua figlia"

T: I said I kissed my girlfriend, who is also your daughter

When my dad arrived where we were? I moved back from Asher to see what he was planning to do.

My dad looked at him in his eyes, his cold aura released, Asher also looked into his eyes without backing away. His own aura was also released.

"Quindi stai dicendo che esci con mia figlia?"  Dad said in a threatening tone.

T: So you're saying you're dating my daughter?

"Esatto, signor De Leon, è quello che sto dicendo." Asher smirked again, looking at my dad.

T: That's right, Mr. De Leon, that's what I'm saying.

"Good," dad said and dropped his threatening aura. It looked like he was satisfied.

"You didn't back away. Good. I'm going to talk to her first to see if it's what she wants. If she has feelings for you and you dare break her heart, trust me, I will remove yours." Asher looked at him and nodded.

Dad patted his shoulder and turned to look at me.

"Let's go," he said and left to get inside his car. Asher kissed me one last time before I left to my dad's car.

ASHER'S POV

"Are you tired of living?" Nate asked me after Alexandro's car left.

"What do you mean?" I said and walked towards where my car was.

"You know what I mean." Nate said, but I got inside my car, ignoring him and drove off.

*******

"Alexandro is here in this country?" Dad asked

"Yep," I said

"And you're dating his daughter?"

"Exactly." I sat down on the couch in the living room.

"Do you want to die?"

" I rather not." I took my phone and called Nate.

"Did the shipment arrive?" I asked him

"No."

"Alright, tell me when they do arrive,"

"Okay," Nate said, and Asher dropped the call.

3RD POV

In the dimly lit study of Alexandro's mansion in America ,Alexandro De Leon sat behind a mahogany desk, his piercing gray eyes fixed on the door. The room carried an air of authority and menace, its walls lined with leather-bound books and artifacts from his long reign as one of the most feared men in the world.

The door creaked open, and Alissa stepped inside. Her striking features were a mirror of her father's—sharp cheekbones, dark gray eyes, and an aura of confidence that bordered on defiance. She was dressed in a sleek black dress, her hair cascading in waves down her back. As she approached the desk, she could feel the weight of her father's gaze.

"Alissa," Alexandro said, his voice low and measured, "do you have any idea what you've done?"

Alissa tilted her chin slightly, refusing to be intimidated. "I kissed him, Papa."

Alessandro’s fingers drummed on the desk. "Him. Asher Kingston. You know he is also a mafia king, right? Our ally." His voice hardened. "Do you understand the position you’ve put this family in?"

"I understand perfectly," Alissa replied. "And I know this isn’t just about the alliance."

Alexandro leaned back in his chair, studying her. "Then enlighten me. What, exactly, is it about?"

"It’s about trust," Alissa said firmly. "You don’t trust him, but you trust me."

Alexandro eyes narrowed. "Trust is earned, Alissa. Asher Kingston may be an ally, but he’s still a man with ambition. Men like him see alliances as opportunities to climb higher, and you just gave him an opening."

"Asher doesn’t need an opening," Alissa countered. "He’s powerful in his own right. That’s why he’s your ally. And for the record, I kissed him because I wanted to, not because he coerced me or because it was some ploy."

Alexandro’s laugh was cold and humorless. "You’re young, Alissa. You don’t see the long game. Men like Asher respect power, not emotions. If he thinks you’re a way to secure more influence over me, he won’t hesitate to exploit it."

Alissa stepped closer to the desk, her temper flaring. "You know me, Papa, I'm far from being naive. Asher respects me, Papa. He’s not using me, and I’m not some pawn in his game. He will actually think before messing with me. "

For a moment, silence hung heavy in the room. Alexandro studied her with an intensity that could unnerve even the bravest of men. But Alissa didn’t flinch. She met his gaze head-on, her resolve unshakable.

"You love him," Alexandro finally said, his voice softer but no less dangerous.

Alissa hesitated, then nodded. "I do. And he loves me."

Alexandro rose from his chair, his imposing figure casting a shadow over the room. He circled the desk and stood before his daughter, his expression unreadable. "Love is a liability in our world. That's one of the rules you should know," he said. "It makes you vulnerable. Weak."

"It also makes you stronger," Alissa countered. "Asher and I understand each other. We fight together. He’s not just an ally to the family; he’s my partner. We both know the risks, and we’re prepared for them."

Alexandro’s jaw tightened, his mind calculating the possible outcomes of this unexpected turn. "If Asher betrays you, Alissa, I will end him. Ally or not."

Alissa’s lips curved into a faint smile. "He won’t. But if he does, you won’t have to."

A flicker of pride crossed Alexandro’s face, though he quickly masked it with his usual stoicism. "You’re playing a dangerous game, my daughter."

"I learned from the best," Alissa replied.

With that, she turned and walked out of the study, leaving Alexandro to contemplate the implications of her words. For the first time in years, Alexandro felt a twinge of uncertainty. His daughter was as dangerous as he was, if not more. Her allegiance to Asher Kingston could either solidify their empire or bring it crashing down.

Alexandro returned to his chair, pouring himself a glass of whiskey. As he stared into the amber liquid, he muttered to himself, "God help Asher Kingston if he ever crosses her. Or me."
