Jungkook followed Hanna down the stairs to apartment 10-A, carrying a small toolkit he’d hastily assembled. She glanced back at him, her face skeptical.
“You’re really going to fix this?” she asked as she unlocked her door.
“Yeah,” Jungkook said, trying to sound confident. “It’s just a leak. How hard can it be?”
“Famous last words,” Hanna muttered, pushing the door open.
Inside, the apartment smelled faintly of damp plaster. Hanna pointed at the offending spot on the ceiling, where water dripped steadily into a half-filled bucket on the floor.
“There,” she said. “Do your thing, maintenance guy.”
Jungkook set the toolkit down and stared at the water stain. “Alright. Uh, do you have a ladder?”
Hanna sighed. “Why would I have a ladder?”
“Okay okay. Let's see what we can do.” Jungkook glanced around and spotted a sturdy-looking chair. “I’ll use this.”
“If you break it, you’re paying for it,” Hanna warned, settling onto the couch with her arms crossed.
Jungkook dragged the chair over and climbed up, peering at the ceiling. “It looks like the pipe is loose,” he said. “I think I can tighten it.”
“Think?” Hanna scoffed. “Not exactly reassuring.”
“Do you want me to fix it or not?” Jungkook shot back, adjusting his grip on the chair.
Hanna smirked. “Touchy. Do it fast.”
He ignored her, rummaging through his tools for a wrench. After a few moments of tinkering, he tightened the pipe and the dripping slowed to a stop.
“See? Easy,” Jungkook said, climbing down and wiping his hands on his jeans.
“Huh. Not bad,” Hanna admitted, inspecting the ceiling. “Maybe you’re not completely useless.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes. “Thanks for the review. Don't forget to give me 5 stars.”
Hanna stretched, yawning. “Well, since you’re here, why don’t you check the other leaks too? This building’s a mess.”
“Other leaks?” Jungkook repeated, groaning. “How many are we talking about?”
“You’ll find out,” Hanna said with a shrug. She leaned back on the couch, her eyelids drooping. “Wake me up if you need anything.”
“Wait, you’re just going to sleep?” Jungkook asked, incredulous.
“Mm-hmm,” Hanna murmured, pulling a blanket over herself. “Good luck.”
Jungkook stared at her for a moment, then sighed. “Unbelievable,” he muttered, grabbing his tools and heading to the bathroom to check for more leaks.

By the time dawn broke, Jungkook had fixed three more minor leaks. His arms ached, and he was covered in dust and grime. He glanced at the couch where Hanna was still sound asleep, her face peaceful. For someone so sharp-tongued, she looked oddly calm when she slept. “Cute!”
Shaking his head, Jungkook packed up his tools quietly and slipped out of the apartment. As he closed the door behind him, he nearly bumped into someone in the hallway.
“Oh!” The woman, a petite brunette in a floral cardigan, looked up at him with wide eyesi. “You must be Hanna’s boyfriend!”
Jungkook froze. “What?”
