The walk back to the hotel is pretty uneventful. Whenever sinners saw me, they ran. Probably because of the blood on my jacket, and the smile on my face.
While on my way back, I walked past Cannibal Town. I made eye-contact with Rosie, and she gave me a sad smile. She knows, she always does. Though, she would never miss a feast, so she'll probably send her people out to finish off the bodies I made.
As I make my way to the doors of the hotel, I wonder what the others will think about my appearance. I'm coated, head to toe, in splotches of blood, and I'm pretty sure there's an eye somewhere on my back.
I grab the handles of the doors and pull them open. The bright light of the hotel flood my eyes and I squint a bit.
"Al finally! We've all been so–" Charlie stops talking when she spots me.
She looks disgusted, her face crinkling up. She tries to hide it, terribly.
Angel, on the other hand, does not.
"What the fuck Smiles?!" he shouts, jumping back a bit.
"Uh... yeah Al... I mean, is this a new look?" Charlie smiles awkwardly, "don't assume the worst, Angel!"
I widen my grin. "No, unfortunately not Charlie, dear! Just had a bit of, must I say, fun in town!"
Something seems to be on my shoulder... I peel off an eyeball, and hold it in front of myself. Charlie lets out a loud gasp, and Pentious jumps into Cherri's arms. She looks at his face, and lets out a little giggle before dropping him on the ground with a thud. Husker rolls his eyes. He's used to this. Vaggie grabs her spear and tightens her grip around Charlie's waist.
I widen my grin and open my mouth. I move the hand with the eyeball over my mouth, and drop the eye in. I chew slowly, and take a look around the room.
"What the FUCK, Alastor?!" Vaggie screams, running towards me.
I shoot a tentacle out, blocking her from coming any closer, but not hurting her. She stops quickly, practically growling at me. She's fuming.
"Al... can you maybe not... result to your special dietary practices around the others? Or me as well! Thanks..." Charlie trails off, turning her head into Vaggie's shoulder. For the daughter of hell, she's pretty squeamish.
"Of course Charlie dear!" I widen my grin, and glance around the room. Angel is giggling, and Husk keeps yelling at him to stop. Lucifer looks disgusted, but like his daughter, he tries to hide it. Much better than she did, to say the least.
"What did I miss while I was attending my meeting?" I say
Vaggie gals at me, shaking her shoulder to wake Charlie up and out of her trance.
"Oh! Um... nothing much Al! Though I did come up with a new trust exercise for tomorrow. But nothing much is happening tonight. I think most of us were going to head up to our rooms, if you wanna join." she says.
"Hm, I suppose I will in a moment, I would like to spend some time down here if you don't mind." I say
"Of course not, Al! Does that mean... that you'll join us in our trust exercise tomorrow?" Charlie looks at me with hopeful eyes, begging her heart out.
"... that depends on what kind of exercise it is, Charlie, dear."
Charlie holds in her excitement, jumping up and down.
"Woah there babe, calm down. You're gonna scare Alastor away..." Vaggie says, holding her still.
"Argh, I'm sorry, Vaggie! I'm just sooo excited for tomorrow! And kinda nervous..." Charlie looks back at me, "but I'm sure it'll be okay!" Charlie says, gaining control of her body again.
