Alli's POV
There's something undeniably magical about the Rocksquad house. It's a whirlwind of laughter, creativity, and love, and today was no different. The house was filled with the sound of music and the energy of our team getting ready for yet another challenge.
Nicole, our second mom and guiding light, had just announced what we'd be doing today—another one of those crazy challenges that would turn into an even crazier vlog. But honestly, no one really minded. These challenges always ended up being fun, no matter how wacky the tasks were.
As usual, I found myself sitting in the living room, watching the squad go about their business. Ryder and Gia were on the couch, completely caught up in their own world. Gia, only 13, and Ryder, 15, had been dating for a few months now, and their connection was obvious to anyone who saw them. The way they interacted with each other—it wasn't just love; it was comfort, trust, and an unspoken understanding.
I couldn't help but smile at them. They were the kind of couple that made you believe in love. And no matter how much their fans shipped them as "Ria," their bond went beyond the surface-level fan-favorite couple.
"Can you believe they're so cute together?" Nayeli asked as she plopped next to me on the couch, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I glanced at her, then back at Gia and Ryder. "Yeah, they're definitely a power duo."
Nayeli grinned. "I know, right? But honestly, I think it's a little unfair how good they are at everything."
I laughed. "True, true. But we've got our own strengths. You and I have got this."
Nayeli gave me a high-five, confident that our dynamic duo would do just fine.
Faye and Jack were sitting across from us, trying to come up with new ideas for their skits. Those two were inseparable, always cracking jokes and bouncing off each other. They didn't have the romantic spark that Gia and Ryder had, but they were still a force to be reckoned with. Their comedy chemistry was unlike anything I'd ever seen, and they were so much fun to watch.
"Okay, squad!" Nicole clapped her hands, getting everyone's attention. "We're doing a duo challenge today. You'll be paired up, and we'll do three rounds: dancing, acting, and a freestyle round. Whoever wins gets a shopping spree!"
A chorus of cheers erupted, and I saw Ryder give Gia a playful look, the kind that made my heart melt for them.
round one was dancing
Gia and Ryder were the first to go, of course. I had seen their dance routines together a hundred times, but watching them was always mesmerizing. Gia's movements were smooth and fluid, and Ryder's voice gave the whole performance an extra layer of depth. Their chemistry was undeniable. It was easy to see why they were the fan favorite.
"Seriously, do they ever stop being perfect?" Nayeli muttered under her breath.
I grinned. "I don't think they know how to."
Faye and Jack went next. They weren't as polished as Ryder and Gia, but their routine had so much energy that it had the entire room laughing. Faye's energy was infectious, and Jack's goofy moves only added to the fun. I loved how they always managed to turn things into a fun performance, even when they didn't have it perfectly choreographed.
When it was our turn, Nayeli and I brought out our best dance moves. We didn't have the same smooth chemistry as Ria, but we brought our own flavor—sharp, clean movements, and a mix of hip-hop and contemporary dance. The room cheered for us, and I could tell that Nicole was impressed.
Round Two was Acting
Gia and Ryder went first again, and their skit about a couple who lost their luggage at the airport had everyone in stitches. Gia, with her natural acting chops, and Ryder, with his effortless charm, had us all believing in their storyline. Their connection was so real, it was hard to tell where acting ended and reality began.
When it was Faye and Jack's turn, they took a completely different approach, turning a simple disagreement over who ate the last cookie into a hilarious, over-the-top argument. Faye and Jack always knew how to bring out the laughter.
Nayeli and I decided to do a serious detective skit, filled with dramatic monologues and intense back-and-forths. We definitely weren't as funny as Faye and Jack, but we were committed, and I felt proud of our performance.
Round Three: Freestyle
This was the round where anything could happen. Gia and Ryder decided to go with a combination of dance and song, with Gia dancing gracefully and Ryder singing one of his original songs. The whole room was captivated by their performance. Honestly, I wasn't even mad that they were so good—watching them together was inspiring.
Faye and Jack went for a different kind of creativity—a magic trick. Jack performed a card trick, and Faye pretended to read his mind, which had everyone completely fooled.
Nayeli and I decided to go with a TikTok trend but with a twist. We nailed the transitions and even added some hip-hop moves that we'd been practicing for weeks. The crowd went wild, and I couldn't help but feel proud of us.
The Results
As the competition wrapped up, Nicole announced the winners. No surprise, but Ryder and Gia took the crown, with their perfect blend of dance and song. Faye and Jack came in second with their funny magic show, and Nayeli and I came in third with our impressive freestyle routine.
But honestly, it wasn't just about the results. What made this challenge so memorable wasn't who won or lost—it was the way we all supported each other, cheered each other on, and celebrated each other's victories. Even though Ria (Gia and Ryder) won, every duo in the squad brought something unique to the table.
As we sat down in the living room, winding down from the challenge, I caught a glimpse of Gia and Ryder on the couch again, this time laughing about something Ryder had said. Their laughter was soft, genuine, and filled with that unspoken connection that was so easy to see.
"Ria is definitely the heart of this squad," I said, looking over at them.
Nayeli grinned. "And we're the backup dancers, right?"
I laughed, giving her a playful shove. "Exactly. But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
In this crazy, beautiful house filled with talented friends, I knew one thing for sure: no matter what challenge we faced, we'd always have each other's backs. Whether it was through dancing, acting, or freestyle moments, we were more than just a squad—we were a family.
And in the end, that's what made Ria, and all of us, so amazing
