3rd person pov
giana, known as gia, stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her dance outfit for the new rocksquad challenge video they were about to film. at 13, gia was an incredibly talented dancer, and it was one of the things she loved most about being a part of the rocksquad channel. ryder, her best friend and fellow rocksquad member, was 15, and they had grown incredibly close over the past few months. they spent hours filming together, laughing, and even working on their shared passions—her dancing, his singing.
but lately, gia's feelings for ryder had started to grow into something more. she couldn't help but notice the way his eyes would light up when they laughed together, or the way he would always make sure she was okay. there was something about him that made her heart flutter. the only problem was, ryder had a past—a complicated one. ryder had dated a past rocksquad member, Peja, before she left the channel. It ended on bad terms, and although ryder never really talked about it, gia knew it had hurt him deeply. the thought of him getting hurt again kept her from telling him how she felt. she didn't want to make things awkward between them, especially with peja still being part of their lives in some way, even though she wasn't on the channel anymore.
it didn't help that peja had always been close to ryder, and gia was scared to step on any toes. would peja be upset if she and ryder started dating? what if it ruined the vibe of the channel? "gia! Are you ready?" ryder's voice echoed through the house, pulling her out of her thoughts. gia smiled nervously, stepping out into the living room where ryder and the others were preparing for the video. ryder was already in his element, standing tall, ready to film. his sister lyla, only 11 but full of energy, was bouncing around as usual, excited for the next challenge. lyla noticed the tension in the air. "what's wrong, gia?" she asked, her eyes narrowing. "you seem... distracted." gia hesitated, unsure of how to explain. "I don't know, lyla. It's just... something's been on my mind lately." ryder glanced over his shoulder, sensing the change in Gia's mood. "You sure you're okay?" His voice was soft, genuine, filled with concern. Gia nodded quickly, trying to hide the flush rising on her cheeks. "Yeah, just... just thinking about the video." But Ryder wasn't convinced. He came over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You know you can tell me anything, right?" Her heart skipped a beat at the warmth of his touch. "I know," she replied softly, looking up at him. "It's just... I don't want to mess things up between us. You've been my best friend for so long, and I don't want to lose that." Ryder raised an eyebrow, clearly confused. "What are you talking about? You're not gonna mess anything up." 
Gia hesitated for a moment, her mind racing. "I mean... what if I like you more than just a friend?" she blurted out, finally admitting it to herself. The room fell silent. Lyla's eyes widened, and Ryder froze, looking taken aback. "Gia..." Ryder started, but she interrupted him quickly. "I know. I shouldn't. You've been through a lot with Peja, and I don't want to hurt you. I'm sorry." She felt her heart sinking, afraid of what Ryder might say next. Ryder stood still for a moment, then gave a small smile. "Gia, you're not going to hurt me. It's just... I was in love with Peja once, and that's not easy to get over. But I think what I feel for you is different. "gia's eyes widened, her heart racing. "You... You like me?" "Yeah," Ryder admitted, his voice soft. "I do. I've liked you for a while now, but I was scared too. I didn't want to mess things up with you, and I didn't know how you felt about me." Gia's face broke into a smile, relief flooding through her. "I've liked you for so long, Ryder."
Just as they were about to get lost in the moment, Faye, another member of the squad, burst in with a big grin on her face. "Alright, lovebirds! We're filming, and you two are the stars of the next challenge. Let's go!" she teased, winking at them. ryder chuckled, and Gia laughed, the tension easing. It felt like the beginning of something new, and she was ready for it. As the Rocksquad filmed the next video, with Ryder and Gia now officially acknowledging their feelings for each other, Lyla couldn't help but giggle under her breath. "I told you," she whispered to Alli, who nodded in agreement. They both knew that the bond between Ryder and Gia was something special. Later that night, after the challenge video was filmed, and everyone was hanging out, Ryder and Gia sat next to each other on the couch, talking about everything and nothing at all. They were close, but now, there was something deeper between them.
As they shared a quiet moment, Ryder leaned over and whispered, "I'm glad it's you, Gia. I'm glad we finally figured this out." Gia smiled, feeling her heart full. "Me too, Ryder. Me too." And from that moment on, they were no longer just best friends. They were something more—something stronger, built on trust, understanding, and the love they had for each other. The Rocksquad was still the same, but for Gia and Ryder, it was the start of something beautiful.

haha thats a wrap !! i tried a new style of writing its not the best in think its better than my other styles i think i might stick with this one lol. u can tell i wanted to use no caps but it took AGES like that so half way i just started using caps lmao. i use chatgpt a little lol, i couldnt think of anything so i used it. i was lazy too. anyways let me know how you think about my first ria story <3. stayy miraculous (even tho this isnt mlb :P)
