𝙈𝙤𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙙, the victor of the 73rd Hunger Games. That year, Moana Blue had a huge impact on her games. When she was reaped; instead of just going to stand on stage like everyone else normally does, she sang. As well as this being abnormal during a reaping, something else had also happened; her older brother, Connor Hercules Baird, ended up volunteering to go in with her. For the first time in seventy-three years, two of the tributes in the same year were siblings. Moana Blue and Connor Hercules knew that they both weren't going to make it out alive together, but they had both promised each other that no matter what, they'll make sure that at least one of them makes it out alive.
After meeting their mentor, Finnick Odair, he knew that he had a victor for this years Hunger Games, but it was never Moana Blue that he thought of... it was Connor Hercules. At the time, Connor Hercules was eighteen, strong, fast, a good swimmer and knew how to use a knife. Moana Blue, on the other hand, she was just a fourteen year old performer who could sing. Finnick had no hope that Moana Blue would win; she was just a fourteen child, as well as the youngest child reaped, she never stood a chance. But even though Moana Blue didn't stand a chance, he still gave her the same amount of attention and training as he did with Connor Hercules, wanting the girl to make it through as much of the games as possible. From this, Moana Blue and Connor Hercules formed a bond with Finnick, even though he tried his best to care about any tributes as anything more than that, knowing that at least one of them would be dead by the time the games ended.
During the interviews, Moana Blue sang again, using a song that she found in her grandmother's old notebook; 'Pure As The Driven Snow'. Moana Blue had no idea of the context or history of the song, but President Snow did and he was not happy about Moana Blue's performance. Now, he had made it set out for the games to be against District 4 in the first place, with rigging the games for at least one of the Baird siblings to be reaped, but this just made him want them dead even more than before. But, even though President Snow was not impressed, the rest of the Capitol loved Moana Blue, giving her the nickname, Songbird.
As the games went on, Moana Blue and Connor Hercules stayed with each other, never leaving each other's sight. The two had made a very good team in the games; with Connor Hercules being the one to protect them from other tributes and Moana Blue finding them food and places where they could rest while being hidden. As a pair, they got a lot of sponsors, with people loving their sibling relationship as well as their interviews before the games. However, this duo did not last, as when they were down to the final three, the District 1 boy had found them and killed Connor Hercules. While Moana Blue didn't have many skills in the fighting area of the games, being filled with rage and wanting to avenge her brother gave her the strength she needed to kill the District 1 boy, causing Moana Blue Baird to become the victor of the 73rd Hunger Games and the story of Lucy Gray Baird with relived through her very own granddaughter.
