After the conversation between Ishan and Shubman, a heavy silence enveloped the group; nobody dared to speak, afraid that the fragile illusion would shatter and they would be forced to confront an unwelcomed reality. Shubman hesitated to return to the room he shared with Ishan, realizing in hindsight how foolish his earlier actions had been. To him, Ishan's friendship was relatively new, and he now understood the risk he had taken that could potentially ruin it for good.

To Shubman, Ishan was more of an idea he admired than a fully formed friendship. He couldn't identify the basis of their bond; he hadn't yet fully grasped what Ishan had been through or how he came to have such strong feelings for him. He simply liked Ishan—that was all he knew. Now, as he reflected on it, he recognized that his younger self wasn't a coward; he just didn't want to lose Ishan.

The stories that the old Shubman knew were unknown to the current Shubman. This Shubman had developed feelings for a man and decided it was time to confess. However, the previous Shubman had imagined every scenario of confessing and had lived through all the possibilities of losing Ishan, which had always stopped him from taking that step.

That Shubman was not afraid of liking his best friend, who was also a man; rather, he was terrified of what his feelings could lead to. The thought of losing Ishan alone sent chills down his spine, and the current Shubman would never fully grasp that fear.

The more he pondered, the more his head started to ache. The doctors had advised him to avoid taking in too much information at once or dwelling excessively on the past, but at that moment, he was desperate to learn more about himself, about Ishan, and their friendship. And then everything went blank.

"What's wrong? Why did he faint?" Shubman heard as he regained consciousness. The voice was very familiar, but he couldn't quite place it. "He might have forced himself to think about certain memories he had forgotten, and it was a bit too much for him, resulting in a shutdown. It's okay; he is fine now."

When he opened his eyes, he saw all the team members gathered around the sofa on which he was resting. He tried to smile at them, but then he noticed Ishan standing at the foot of the sofa with the doctor next to him. Ishan was looking at Shubman with a fierce expression that scared him.

After giving him a cold look, Ishan walked away to see the doctor off, leaving Shubman confused and hurt. Rishabh stood beside him, attempting to stifle his laughter, which seemed nearly impossible at that moment. "Bhai, are you okay? You scared everyone," Siraj decided to break the silence. Shubman smiled at him and nodded in response.

"Kya sochne ki koshish kar raha tha? Tu sochta bhi hai? Ye toh nayi information hai," Rishabh said, struggling to suppress his laughter. "Pata nahi bhai, kuch yaad nahi hai," Shubman replied, choosing to engage. Initially, everyone was concerned, but now they all seemed more relaxed.

After a minute or two, Ishan joined them, still glaring at Shubman. He placed two packets of medicine beside him and handed him the medicine from both packets. Without any complaints, Shubman took the medicine and watched as Ishan walked away. Once Ishan was out of sight, Shubman turned his attention back to the others in the room. They appeared to be waiting for Ishan to leave as well.

"I made a mistake, didn't I?" Shubman asked after a while. The group looked a bit disappointed; some even wore tired expressions on their faces. Rishabh was the first to respond. "I think you did nothing wrong. Although the old you would be really furious about this, I still believe you did the right thing." He concluded. "I think you did right too," added Virat, and soon everyone joined in, agreeing with him.

"Don't worry too much about Ishan Bhai; he might be shocked right now. Although there's no reason for him to be since your feelings for him were clear enough that anyone should have noticed. However, as oblivious as he can be at times, he somehow missed it, and now he's completely taken aback. But don't let that concern you; he'll come around because he can't imagine life without you. Even if he tries, it would be nearly impossible for him to do so." Yashasvi's detailed explanation warmed Shubman's heart.
