You had just moved to Daily City, into a "new" apartment complex. The place was run down and shitty, but it was somewhere to live.
After unpacking, you decided to go out for a walk, explore the city a bit. The city wasn't as nice as you'd hoped, but a lot of the people seemed friendly, specifically one woman named Cherry Pie.
As you made your way down the street, you smelt a familiar smell. Someone was smoking pot.
You continued walking, but noticed the smell getting stronger.
As you passed an alleyway, you looked down and saw a guy in a black t-shirt, baggy grey pants, and a grey had he had on backwards. He was maybe in his late 20's. He was leaning back against the wall of the alley, smoking a blunt and playing on his phone.
