1 Week later
AshleyI can't believe that it has been a week since Andrew seemingly disappeared. He never showed up to school for the rest of the week. What the hell happened, Andrew? Please, just let me know that you're okay... My heart ached at the thought that he might actually be somewhere in an un marked grave for all we know.
By Friday, the police were notified by the school about Andrew, something about his absences, and that his parents never answered the schools calls about it. No wonder they never answered because they were found dead by police during a well fare check. I've only heard bits and pieces of the situation, but in a small town like this, it's almost impossible to keep anything on the down low. Especially something of this magnitude.
After I heard the horrific news about his parents early Saturday morning, I couldn't keep myself from crying. It felt as if someone had plunged a knife straight through my heart and twisted the blade. What put the final nail in the coffin for me was the fact that there were no traces or evidence of Andrew ever living there. According to Zoe and her "sources," there wasn't even a single hair they could find to link Andrew to this house. All they had was the address that the school had given to them.
When Monday morning came around, school had already been called off due to this saddening situation. Honestly, I wouldn't have gone to school either way. This all was way too much for me to process. And here I was for the 3rd day in a row, laying in bed. Wanting to do absolutely nothing but sulk and drift in and out of sleep. I feel my phone buzz from underneath my pillow, I let out a frustrated sigh. The last thing I want to do is talk to anyone. Ignoring my phone, I close my eyes again, only to be woken back up to knocking coming from the other side of my bedroom door.
