It had been a week since Shlok Singhania, Miksha's dadu, had awakened from his coma. The entire family was overjoyed by his recovery, but Miksha was especially happy. For the past week, she had stayed by his side, refusing to leave him alone even for a moment.

On the second day of his recovery,Shlok Singhenia had called Karthik and his family to the mansion for what turned out to be a grueling five-hour "interview."

"Walk a few steps. Let me see if you're strong enough to protect her."

"Do you know how to cook? My granddaughter won't be the one slaving in the kitchen all the time!"

"Any bad habits? Smoking? Drinking? Gambling?"

"Have you had any past affairs? Be honest!"

"Do you plan to cheat after the wedding?"

"How much do you earn? Is it enough to ensure her happiness?"

Karthik and his family had left the mansion exhausted and flustered. Despite Shlok singhania'S constant though reject him for his granddaughter, he had reluctantly accepted it when he realized it was Miksha's choice. However, he still cursed Karthik under his breath for "stealing" his precious granddaughter.

Currently, Miksha sat with her father, Abhyant, on one couch in Dadu's study, while her uncles, Shashvat and Vivaan, occupied another. Shlok Singhania sat behind the massive oak desk..

"Dad, you seriously don't remember the person's face?" Abhyant hissed in frustration .

"No," Shlok replied, frowning deeply. "I was heading to the company because the security team informed me about someone breaching into the company and he is in my cabin. On my way there, in the dead of night, a car suddenly came out of nowhere from the left and slammed into mine. The force was so hard that my car flipped. The headlights blinded me, so I couldn't make out the driver's face."
