Blurting out that she talked to Loki might not have been the best thing she's ever done, especially in front of two former Avengers who fought him when they first assembled. Their first villain, and here she was, telling them how she talked to them as if he was an old friend of her dad's. Natasha tried to keep her from getting out of the house. Bruce was too stunned to speak. Y/n could tell that he was trying to figure out how it was even possible that Loki showed up in her mind like that while she was in a coma; if it was real or not. Y/n needed to get into the car, though, and it didn't matter what Natasha said or whatever Bruce was still willing to ask her. She needed to get to Peter and Liz. Their date was over. MJ went with her without a complaint or questioning. Harley wanted to come with them as well, but Y/n turned him down. She's a big girl, she could take care of herself. "You didn't say anything about the scary god dude. You never said anything about it." MJ said. Y/n briefly looked at her friend. "Yeah... It's not exactly something you discuss. I'm not even sure Peter knows everything, so don't take it personally." That did make MJ feel a bit better. For a moment she thought this was another one of those things Y/n kept from her but told others about. "So, you're not going to team up with him and take over the world?" She should have expected a comment like that sooner or later. "I never wanted to take over the world. I wanted to protect my loved ones from it. That's very different." MJ raised an eyebrow at her. "By controlling it and everyone in it?" When you put it like that it sounds horrible. That was not her plan. She just wanted them all to be safe. "MJ, you know I'm not some kind of supervillain," Y/n mumbled to her. "Oh, really? Because that is not what that seemed like. That little trick you pulled a couple of weeks ago? What I've been told, sounded a lot like something a bad guy would do. Something your dad fought back in the day." Y/n laughed softly. What did MJ really know other than what she's been told by Y/n herself? "My father built Ultron, that didn't go well either. I did something a little bigger, and now I'm the bad guy?" Y/n replied, "You were up there too when Mysterio came along, MJ. You, Ned, and I were all there with Peter when that crazy lizard, the sand dude, and all the others came into our universe. Am I really that crazy for wanting some kind of peace in our world?"
"It is when you pull something like that. Using Widows as scouts? Rip a hole in time and space again? You could have destroyed us all, Y/n." MJ pointed out to her. Y/n rolled her eyes and turned the steering wheel of the car. "But when my dad does it, he's a hero, right?" Tony literally destroyed Sokovia by building Ultron. It wasn't entirely his fault, but he and Bruce did build Ultron in the first place. No one talked about that anymore. The Avengers fell apart, sure, but they're on okay terms now. Now, it feels as if the whole world hates her. "The only one that got hurt was me this time. I didn't blow up a planet or something." She wasn't like Darth Vader. "That's exactly why I'm so angry." MJ blurted out. Y/n stopped the car in front of a red light. "You're like my best friend." MJ sighed, "How did you think I was gonna feel after hearing that you almost blew yourself up again? Along with your heart and everything else that's been going on with you. Y/n, you keep risking your life over and over again by building dangerous machines, risking your life to do good, but also lying to everyone around you." MJ wasn't shouting, but her voice was harsh and bitter, yet she didn't sound angry. "Do you have any idea how angry I was when Ned told me about what happened to you? You keep doing this. No wonder your variants are all dead." Y/n hit the gas again when the light turned bright green. "If you were anyone else, I would probably strangle you right now because you're really pissing me off," Y/n told her friend sternly. MJ chuckled. Ned came to her days ago telling her that Y/n almost killed herself again and that her time was running out. Her heart and lungs were giving out. She could count herself lucky that her brain was still intact. Then again, it was hard to mess up a brain as big as Y/n's. Starks and their big heads. Thick Skulls. "You even said it yourself, you were supposed to be dead, Y/n. What were you thinking?" MJ asked her. "I was thinking about my loved ones. You included MJ, believe it or not." Her thoughts lay mostly with Peter and his safety, but Ned and MJ were part of her family, she wanted to keep them safe just as much as Peter.
