27 May, 2019. Monday, 7:35 p.m. It was Matilda's birthday. So she threw a party at her apartment. When me and Elias reached there the whole apartment was shaking with loud music. Once again I realized how popular Matilda was. The whole campus was at her apartment. We crossed all those drunken dancing souls just to find her standing with a sparkling yellow  short tight dress, wine in one hand talking with a tall blonde guy. Hair up in a ponytail, light makeup she was looking fabulous. Absolutely stunning. Her face immediately brightened up when she saw us. A big smile on her face while she walked towards us to take us in her warm hug. The party was so good. I danced with Elias for the last time of my life. I looked in his eyes with all the love and passion and hope in my heart while thinking about a beautiful future of ours. That moment was ethereal. Me and him, his beautiful hands taking my small body, a hot romantic music in the background. But I  saw something else in his eyes. Something was telling me sorry. An apologetic eye.... 
After the party it was only 12 of us left at there. Only Matilda's closest friends. One of them gave the idea of playing truth or dare. It was already late and I was tired too but Elias was so into the game. Getting no other choice I had to stay with him and participate in the game. As the sound of the clock was getting loud and louder the game was getting more interesting. When Matilda was asked if she had any crush on any of the people in this room she suddenly looked at Elias and then took a glance at me and drank a shot for the 9th Time. Everyone shouted with excitement. The empty bottle was spun again and stopped pointing at Elias.
Sofia: truth or dare? 
Elias: dare. 
Sofia then looked at me with a huge grin on her face. And with a teasing tone she gave him his dare. 
Sofia: I dare you to kiss the most beautiful person in here. 
Everyone's eyes were on me. They all knew what was going to happen. Eagerly waiting for my boyfriend to kiss me. My heart skipped a beat when I realized Elias was staring at me. Redness took over my cheeks. Then I noticed Elias giving me those same eyes when we were on the dance floor. Why he was hesitating? There he was. He moved from his place. Crawling towards me. I closed my eyes. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9...... 
And the seconds kept going on but I felt nothing on my lips. Loud gasps were coming to my ears. What happened? Did he leave? Or is it a prank? I opened my eyes only to find my boyfriend kissing the girl sitting beside me passionately. MY BEST FRIEND. I quickly grabbed my things and left. Tears flowing down my cheeks. Back to the present 
"Oh... so it was just a dream" I thought in my head. I still sometimes have these bad dreams. He, him kissing my bff, people abandoning me, people laughing at me, those horror stares I got this is all a nightmare to me. I healed. But healing doesn't mean forgetting. He was nothing but just an emotion. An emotion which I was never able to control. An emotion which took over me. His memories were the biggest nightmare of my life. Destroying me little by little. Slowly. But after all it was all my fault. I was a fool to think that he loves me. By dating me he thought he was doing me a favour. He did. He did a favor but not to me. To her. My best friend. She was the one who asked him to date me. Cause she felt bad for me. What a thoughtful best friend I have. And he did a favor to her by dating me. He tried. Tried hard to fall for me. But couldn't. And here I am. Trying my best to forget my miserable past. Trying my best to forget my first love. 
Did it hurt when  you told her you love her but she didn't respond? Did it hurt seeing her hooking up with some other guys which was surely not you.  You know we all are the same. I'm dying for you, you are dying for her, she is probably dying for someone else. Who knows where we all will end up !!!  My phone suddenly rang putting me back into the reality from my unhealthy thoughts. Olivia? Why is she calling this early? I took the call only to hear a loud shout and bunch of curse from her. "Bitch, open the door." I quickly put the phone on the nightstand and ran towards the door. "I've been calling the bell for the past 30 minutes. What were you doing?" "I was sleeping. Sorry. What are you doing here at this hour?" "I was just worried about you so I came to check. How was last night?" She asked while taking a sit on the dining room table. "Good". "Did you have fun?" "Yes" I said after taking a sip from my green tea. "Did he come?" I simply nodded at her curious tone. "Are you... okay?" "I am Oli. Don't worry I'm totally fine." I hope one day I will forget all the memories of yours, will live my life fully at peace. We will be strangers searching for love in this cruel world. Calling it a fate!!! Ok. Work talk. We have a new client. Very much interested in your work." One thing that I absolutely love about Olivia is her love for work. She is such an active person. Never makes any mistake and always concerned about work. "Didn't you show him our collection?" "Of course I did. But he said he wants to meet with you." "Why?" "Why don't you ask him by yourself? We are meeting with him today at 12 at the Four Twenty Five restaurant. He had already booked a table for us". "Who is he? Do we know him?" "No idea. But he sounded like very close to you". As a fashion designer Meeting with clients and having business meetings was a part of my work. There was nothing new about it. Also my online fashion business was expanding so we needed more client. I agreed to meet with him without thinking twice. My life was a mess but I couldn't let that happen to my work. It was the only thing which kept me distracted from my weird, unhealthy thoughts.
