"We are boyfriends"

"Everyone wants truth right? Now that you all know, why can't you take it?"

"I had to hate Pran, compete against him. Because of you?"

"Because you raised me like this, I'm not like other kids"

"We can't change what happened, we can just live with it"

"If you want to, you can. I can't just live with it"

"What are you going to do then?"

"Run away to a place where there's only us"

10 years from now if you ask them, maybe they'll say it was a foolish decision, a lapse of judgment because of the sheer vulnerability they felt in that moment, maybe even laugh about how child-like a decision it was to think they can just run away and things will be better.

But in this exact moment it's all they could do, allow themselves to feel vulnerable, fragile.

To finally decide that the line has been crossed, for they saw their love, each other crumbling apart, breaking as they held each other trying to keep it together.

They needed a break, a break away from the culpability that they deceptively had to be responsible for.

Who would have thought a single day will change their life so dramatically, alas life loves to be petty.

"Hia, are you seriously coming back? What about P'Pran? Are you guys crazy?"

"It's okay Paa, we've talked things out and come to a mutual decision. Don't worry your P'Pran is okay. We're taking the morning bus tomorrow, we'll be back by dinner time"

"Please take care of each other, last few days were enough torture"

"Don't worry Paa seriously, we'll figure something out. No one has to be sad because of our love anymore, we'll break up."

"BREAK UP?? ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY HIA? BREAKING UP WITH P'PRAN, THE PERSON YOU BASICALLY WORSHIP 24/7"

"Paa, Paa calm down yeah. We have a plan, it's okay, I'll tell you everything once we come back ok. Just trust me for now. I'll never sacrifice Pran's happiness for anything in the world for sure."

"You better not, our parents did enough in the sacrifice department. We don't need more of that"

"Bye for now little sis, I'll see you soon."

"Bye Hia"

"And Paa"

"Yeah?"

"I love you"

Paa is nervous to say at least. Feeling unsettled the whole day knowing her brothers will be back in a few hours. Having a big brother with all its pros and cons at the end of the day is a good thing. She hates her brother with the same passion she loves him, but that's the story of every other sibling pair you know.

Pran though is an exception.

She loves him just like her brother but there are no cons in their relationship, maybe because the roots of their bond lie in trust and mutual respect instead of blood-related bonds like others.
