Castiel's POV
I stared at the demon feeling confused. We had been talking about how to bring Y/N's soul to Hell, but I had felt that we had been talking about the same thing over the past half an hour, going over what we had already spoken about. I felt that Crowley wasn't understanding what we were saying, and I didn't know how to make it anymore clearer to him. Unfortunately, Jack hadn't been able to be at the meeting, but I had worked together with the Nephilim, and we believed that there was a chance to get Y/N's soul back to Crowley. It wasn't going to be easy, especially when the demon didn't seem to understand the complications of Heaven's side of things. The important thing was that there needed to be another soul in her place. Then I thought that maybe it wasn't that he didn't understand, he didn't care.
"It's really simple Castiel," Crowley snapped as he glared at me once again.
"Then explain it to us Crowley," Dean sounded angry, but I thought maybe it was the frustration.
"Bring Y/N here and you can have anyone of my useless demon's souls." It sounded so easy, and I guess from Crowley's point of view it was. He was giving a soul to get a soul, but it wasn't that simple.
I frown at him, "I can't do that."
"You told me that you just needed a soul, take one. I don't care which one," he leant in closer to me and gruffly said, "I just want Y/N's soul."
"This is not a simple soul swap Crowley," I locked my vision with his as I snapped, "There needs to be the same number of souls in Heaven at the one time."
"It will only take seconds, Heaven probably wouldn't even notice," Crowley said so nonchalantly, and I heard Dean let out a groan of dissatisfaction.
"I cannot bring Y/N out of Heaven without another soul being there in her place when I do," I told the demon, speaking slowly, "but then I cannot take another soul there while she is in Heaven."
Crowley frowned at me, "Then how in the bloody Hell are you going to make the exchange?"
"Jack and I have planned an escape" I told them, and they all gave me blank stares, "I am going to get Y/N's soul in another body, like when we visited you down in Hell," I told Crowley, "Then I am going to bring her down here, take her soul from the body and replace it with one that you have."
"So, a simple soul swap," Crowley says as he gives that smile that makes us all roll our eyes, "which is what I've been saying all along."
I lock my eyes with the demon's as I say, "Y/N's soul will be out of Heaven for one minute. That is how long I have to make sure she isn't in the body, but the soul from Hell is."
Crowley shrugs his shoulders, "Sure, I can help you. Easy."
"No, you need to be with her body so you can make sure she isn't taken back up to Heaven. You see, once her soul is taken from the body it will be transferred to you. Her soul needs to be inside her body and the other soul in the other body so that Heaven will take us there." I speak fast, hoping that everyone finally understands that this plan needs to be completed in a precise manner, because if it isn't done right then Y/N would be returned to Heaven, and we wouldn't have another chance to do this again.
"Won't they know that it's not Y/N?" Dean asked and I heard the uncertainty in his voice.
I shake my head as I meet his eyes, "No, they only care for numbers, not actual names and faces. Once they do realise then it will be too late. Hell doesn't' usually negotiate well for souls, especially one they've been wanting and finally get."
"Feathers is right, once I have her soul it's staying" Crowley says, the adds, "I just have one correction,"
I close my eyes, hoping his correction isn't going to be a problem, "What?"
