Another time jump. 2 months, December.Julia slowly opened her eyes, squinting as the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, bathing the room in a golden hue. She stretched, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin, and instinctively reached out to the other side of the bed, only to find it empty. The faint sound of humming reached her ears, bringing a smile to her face.
She slipped out of bed, her bare feet touching the cool floor as she padded towards the bathroom. The door was slightly ajar, and she could see the soft glow of the lights within. Pushing it open, she stepped into Kamala's spacious bathroom, which was almost as large as some living rooms. The marble countertops gleamed under the lights, and a large mirror spanned one wall, reflecting the elegant decor.
Kamala stood in front of the mirror, her focus on fixing her hair and applying makeup. She wore only her work pants and a black bra, her figure accentuated by the morning light. Julia paused for a moment, taking in the sight of her partner, feeling a rush of affection and admiration.
Without a word, she walked up behind Kamala, wrapping her arms around her waist. She pressed soft kisses against Kamala's back and shoulders, feeling the warmth of her skin. Kamala giggled, her eyes meeting Julia's in the mirror, a playful sparkle in them.
"Good morning, my gorgeous girl," Kamala said, her voice a soothing melody.
Julia smiled, her heart swelling with love. She cupped Kamala's face, leaning in to plant a tender kiss on her lips. "Good morning, baby. You look so good. I hate that your colleagues get to see you like this," she pouted, her hands playing with the hem of Kamala's pants, her touch gentle and affectionate.
Kamala giggles at Julia's jealousy, her laughter light and infectious. She effortlessly lifts Julia onto the counter, her strength and affection evident. "You're cute," she says, her eyes shining with warmth as she takes in Julia's beauty. Leaning in, Kamala kisses her softly, savoring the moment. "Don't worry, I'm all yours, baby. And everyone knows it." The reassurance brings a smile to Julia's face, but it quickly fades.
"Except for that bitch Carey. She's always trying to get at you. I can't believe she had the nerve to try and kiss you. She's so lucky I wasn't there or I would've beat her ass." Julia snaps, her voice tinged with frustration. Kamala can't help but laugh more, the sound filling the room. She gently lifts Julia's chin, bringing their lips together once more.
"Don't worry about her, okay?" Kamala murmurs against Julia's lips. Julia nods, feeling the tension ease from her shoulders. Kamala's thumb gently traces the line of Julia's jaw, her touch soothing.
"Are you hungry? What do you want for breakfast?" Kamala asks, her tone light and playful. Julia's mind immediately goes to a more mischievous place, and she smirks.
"You, and your di-.." Julia begins, but Kamala cuts her off with a laugh. "Oh my god, Julia. I need you to be serious for once! Real food, woman.." she says, rolling her eyes playfully.
Julia pouts for a moment before giving in. "I was being serious.Buuuuut... I guess I'll have avocado toast with some eggs and a nice smoothie," she finally says. Kamala smiles, tapping her thigh in approval.
"Good. Now let's go start cooking," Kamala says, her voice filled with affection as she helps Julia off the counter.
Julia smiled as they walked towards the kitchen, taking in the festive decorations that adorned Kamala's penthouse. The Christmas lights twinkled, and the scent of pine filled the air, making the space feel warm and cozy. "Your place looks amazing, Kamala. You've really outdone yourself with the decorations this year," Julia said, her voice filled with admiration.
