𝗜 𝗪𝗢𝗡.

Obviously.

I hauled his stubborn ass along all without really telling him the destination, and he's clearly not thrilled but nothing a pretty sight shouldn't fix. I steal a glance, catching the way the breeze teases his irritated face, and a soft laugh escapes me.

It's been about half an hour, and we're close now. I've already called my friends, apologizing for ditching them. They weren't mad mostly because they were more invested in knowing about the fight that outraged in their absence because apparently, me beating the shit out of Sia went viral and people are not happy.

And as in "people," I mean my dad and Sia's parents which I clearly couldn't give a damn about. My dad has been calling me constantly but I am not picking it up. Not when he's not even here to scold me himself.I know he's probably worried about Sia's parents coming after me, and him not being around to protect me. Though, part of me wishes he's proud of me. I had endured enough of that girl, without doing much back.

Our rivalry runs deep, it's woven into our bloodline, stretching back as far as my birth-or even my parents'. Sia's ascendants, NRIs, came here and laid the foundation of their empire. There's a lot of conspiracies on what sparked our feud, who cares but not long ago, my dad called a truce with her parents, choosing peace-for the most part. The one exception: Sia and me. She doesn't know how to leave me alone neither do I intend to. This wouldn't have gone down if she hadn't started those nasty rumors about my family but she chose to. That bitch. She's such a disgrace to their family, especially when her brother is genuinely a good person.

She has an older brother, Veer, who manages most of their business. He's also the one who stepped up and called for the truce. Now, that's what you call a 'real man'-and a damn elegant one at that. I absolutely respect the man, can't say the same thing about his sister.

Reign shifting in his seat snaps me out of my trance. I glance up and realize we're way off track. Damn it. I must've veered too far. Screw me and my wandering mind. I curse under my breath and slam my foot down on the gas, jolting us forward a little.

Reign's eyes dart to me, his confusion evident. He's got every right to. I've taken him into the heart of nowhere, deep into the countryside with nothing but endless trees lining the road. But this isn't the destination, not yet.

"Get out," I order, not giving him a chance to argue.

He stares at me, unmoving, brow furrowed. "You've got to be kidding me. Where the hell are we?"

"Out," I snap, opening the door and stepping out myself.

Reign stays seated, glancing around. "What the hell, you're bringing me into a forest now?" He doesn't budge.

"Shut up and get out," I repeat.

He hesitates, eyes scanning the dense woods around us. "You're seriously bringing me into a damn forest?"

I don't even let him finish before I yank open his door. Before he can protest any further, I grip his hand firmly and tug him forward. "You'll see," I say with a grin.

He plants his feet, his grip tight on the door handle. "This is what you think is a good idea? Did you take my 'no crowd' as code for 'I want to be isolated?' You literally dragged me into the middle of nowhere to have a conversation with trees? I never said I hated people this much."

"Stop being dramatic and get moving," I say, rolling my eyes.

"I'm not going anywhere unless you tell me what the hell this is all about," he protests, trying to pull back.
