~ Oblivious King ~

Papyrus jumps down from his horse, his legs are still shacky... He has been replaying what he saw and heard in his head the whole ride. But he still can't quite believe it.

From all the people, why Reaper? Why did his older brother, that he loved more than anything, attacked him? The pure hatred in his eyes... The Corpse of a man he most likely murdered. Why?...

And the worst part is, what will he tell to Father? 'hey dad, Reaper got crazy and is murdering people!'

This situation was bad. And the worst part is that he is the only one who saw him. The explaining is purely up to him.

Papyrus takes a deep breath. He looks up at the castle before him.

He finally got enough courage and went right to his fathers office.

(...)

Papyrus opens the door roughly. and the king drops the book he was holding from shock.

"Papyrus! I told you to knock before you enter!"
The king looks at his younger son angrily, then picks up the book and puts it on the table.

Papyrus freezes, yes he remembers his father saying that multiple times.
"I'm sorry father. We found Reaper!"

Gaster's mood immediately changes, he looks excited that his son is finally back... Or at least he thinks so.

"Where is he? Im going to see him, to see if he is okay."
The King looks at Papyrus, waiting for the answer.

"He's... Not here. A-and... Its more complicated than you think."

(...)

After while of explaning, Gaster sits in his chair thinking while Papyrus explains what he saw.

"A-and i run away... I was scared... I dont know what have gone into him!...i-i..."

Papyrus slowly breaks down to tears, trying to look tought before his father. But he just can't...

"...that's what the terrible forces, these people call 'magic' has done to him!!" Gaster is furious.

"Im going to talk with the healer. You prepare yourself, as soon as possible we are leaving."

Papyrus stares at his clearly furious Father.
He doesn't know what to say. Reaper seems dangerous, but maybe with help of other people, they can get him back to his senses.

The door slam shut as Gaster left to go serach a way to help his oldest. Papyrus then went to his room, he walks up the stairs... He feels so... Useless in this situation, he wants to help his brother. But he has no idea how...

He opens the door of his cold and dark room. He walks in, he doesnt even bother to change or take off his shoes, he jumps to bed, where he hides under the covers and silently cryes.

(...)

The next day, Papyrus dresses up properly and
Prepares himself, he walks out of the castle. Gaster is standing next to a big black horse with pieces of armor.

The King looks at his younger son, who walks with his horse towards them.

"The rest should arrive shortly. Are you ready?"

Papyrus looks up at his father.
"... I Am."

"Dont worry. Soon everything will be back at how it was before."

Papyrus sights... He hopes so.

A group of Knights arrive, a general and five knights. They will accompany them and help them get hold of the oldest prince.

They leave the kingdom grounds shortly after. Papyrus is still wery unsure about this all. He doesn't know if Reaper is even safe to approach.

They walks for the whole day before they finnaly stop to have a break, Papyrus sits near the campfire, he puts his hands together, he never was beliving in any tipe of gods. He doesn't even know who he is praying to... But its for his brother.

(At the same time, somewhere in the woods.)

...

Its getting closer.

Their running steps sound through the forest, breaking sticks and crushing leaves.

And closer.

His rapid breath is heard clearly as he tryes to keep running.

And Closer.

The second person falls, the first stops and grabs their arm. Helping them up and keep running.

And Closer.

They run. His breath is running out. His arm is hurting. His magic is almost out. He can-...he cant...

And CLOSER.

Then all of sudden, he falls. His energy finally gives up. Another person jumps out of the bush, yelling out a spell that makes a big amount of light. Blinding the monster for a brief second.
