Chapter-38
Blastoise continued to struggle, encased in Muk's suffocating, toxic body, his shell dripping with the vile sludge. Every move he made to escape only seemed to sink him further into Muk's poisonous grip. Gary's lips twisted into a cold smirk, undeterred by the challenge Agatha posed.
Agatha chuckled, a dry, mocking sound. "Is that the best you've got, Gary?" Her gaze was sharp, glinting with the confidence of a seasoned Elite Four member. "You might want to rethink your approach if that's all your Blastoise can muster."
Unfazed by her taunt, Gary replied smoothly, "Not quite." His eyes gleamed with a knowing confidence. "Blastoise, Flash Cannon!"
The command caught Agatha by surprise. Her confidence faltered, and she reacted too late. "Muk, get out of there! Now!"
But Muk couldn't escape in time. With a deep, resonant hum, Blastoise's cannons whirred, powering up before firing a powerful, silvery beam directly from within Muk's grasp. The Flash Cannon exploded at close range, sending both Pokémon skidding back across the battlefield, each visibly affected by the blast.
"And both Pokemons are damaged by the attack!"
Muk grunted as it struggled to regain its shape, its gooey form now sizzling from the intense energy of Blastoise's Flash Cannon. Blastoise, too, felt the impact, but it quickly pushed itself back up, planting its feet firmly as it steadied its gaze on Muk.
Gary seized the opportunity, his voice steady and cold. "Hydro Cannon, now!"
Blastoise's cannons whirred as he took aim, unleashing twin torrents of water with a force that blasted straight into Muk. The powerful Hydro Cannon struck with such intensity that Muk let out a low, guttural groan, its form distorting as the water crashed into its gooey body, driving it back.
"And Gary strikes again!"
Agatha narrowed her eyes and commanded, "Muk, Smog!"
Muk's body emitted a thick, purple cloud of noxious gas that enveloped the battlefield. Blastoise coughed and staggered as the poison seeped into his system, sapping his strength. With each breath, the venom took its toll, weakening him even as he held his ground.
"Skull Bash!" Gary's voice rang out, determined.
Blastoise lowered his head, his shell gleaming as he launched forward with Skull Bash, plowing straight into Muk's squishy form. The impact forced a groan from Muk, but Blastoise found himself stuck once again in the gooey substance, unable to pull back.
Agatha smirked, satisfied. But Gary wasn't about to give in. "Hydro Pump, Blastoise!"
Blastoise's cannons popped out once more, firing a powerful Hydro Pump directly into Muk's body. The blast of water hit Muk with such force that it slid backward, finally loosening its hold on Blastoise. The attack sent Blastoise flying backward as well, where he landed with a heavy thud in front of Gary, regaining his stance in an instant.
"What a way to escape!"
Agatha's eyes narrowed, her smile now replaced with a steely determination. "Muk, Shadow Sneak!"
Before Gary could react, Muk vanished into the shadows, only to reappear directly behind Blastoise, its gooey fist sparking with electric energy. In a flash, Muk struck Blastoise's face with a powerful Thunder Punch, sending him stumbling backward.
"That must've hurt!"
"Blastoise!" Gary called, steadying himself. "Finish it—Flash Cannon!"
