Around 3am, in the middle of the night, Hiba woke up suddenly and after freeing her hand from Mizan's grip she ran into the washroom.
She locked the washroom's door and on checking she realised that she got her periods. Her eyes widen and her palms felt sticky due to the sweat.
She took a deep breath and exit the washroom, silently closing the door as she tip-toed to the leave the room.
She thought that she will ask Hafiza to lend her pads or something but a deep husky voice made her stop.
"Where do you think you are going in the middle of the night Hiba?" Mizan questioned in a low but deep voice and Hiba flinced.
She silenty turned back and saw him sitting on the bed with his legs open and a blanket covering them, a grey shirt covering his well built body as he ran his fingers through his hair making Hiba gulp.
"I....I was going to A-Ammi....I-I wanted something f-from her" Hiba answered in a low voice, playing with her fingers as her head hung low.
Mizan hated the way she gets scared of him and he is always so desperate to find a way to make her feel safe but no matter what ge does, Hiba still gets scared.
"What 'thing' does Ammi has and your husband dosent?" Mizan mocked and went to stand infrontof Hiba, towering her by his 6'2 figure.
"I.....I-Its.....please let me go" Hina tried to explain but gave up, she was scared to tell him that she got her period thinking he might get angry because he woke up in the middle of the night because of her so she pleaded instead.
"See.....if it would be morning I wont have stopped you, but dont you think its inappropriate to go in Ammi's room in the middle if the night so get something?" He reasoned and I hesitently nodded my head.
Hes right, Ammi will be disturbed and Abba will be there too. Ya Allah what now!? Hiba thought.
"M-Mr Baig...." Hiba called out softly and Mizan smiled.
"Bolo biwi" Mizan patted her head with a soft smile and Hiba felt warm inside her. She nodded and took a deep breath before saying.
"I....I-I.....need........s-sanitary...p-pads" Hiba spoke with her eyes closed tightly and her head low as she was scared that he will yell at her.
In her house, no one knows if Hiba is on her period or not. She used to buy pads with her own money and told no one. Now she is scared when someone is asking her about her periods.
Mizan's eyes slightly widen at the realisation that he didn't keep any women's necessities in his room for Hiba.
He metally scolded himself for his careless behaviour and then looked at Hiba again.
"Uh......sanitary pads you say" Mizan repeated her words with an akward smile. He was not used to buying pads as Umaima was no longer with him.
He used to take care of Umaima a lot when she was on her periods and used to buy her all the necesscities but now he is no longer used to it.
"Sit in the bathroom easal. I'll go buy some for you" Mizan said in a low voice but Hiba panicked.
She quickle held Mizan's forearm as he was about to leave and then whispered in a low voice.
"But.....you're a man. H-how can you buy....s-sanitary pads?" She questioned, her eyes widened slightly being embaressed and shocked.
"What?" Mizan chuckled at her weird behaviour. He gently patted Hiba's cheek and chuckled again.
"Well....I am a man, that is why I am going to buy sanitary pads....for my wife" Mizan said again and Hiba left his hand and gulped.
She was still uncomfortable by the fact that a man will be buying her sanitary pads but she still nodded hesitently.
Mizan smiled and left the room after taking his wallet and car keys. And Hiba waited for him in the bathroom, anxious and embarrassed. _______________________________
