Shadow tries to stop Infinite but is held back by Phantom Silver as Infinite laughs before flying towards Y/n's location. Shadow dispels Phantom Silver's powers before slicing him and the other phantoms apart.

Y/n was currently dealing with Phantom Knuckles, Phantom Rouge, and Phantom Espio while running up a mountain dodging the fake bat's bombs. The blue hedgehog was about to charge up a Spin Dash but the mountain started shaking and fell because of Phantom Knuckles digging through. As he fell, Y/n dodged and parried the Phantoms' attacks as he jumped back on the ground and stretched his legs.
Y/n: I gotta give Infinite credit. These counterfeits are putting up more of a fight than I thought they would. That said, it's time for me to stop playing around.
Y/n triggers his Light-Speed form and quickly disposes of the Phantoms as he lands on the ground.
Y/n: Phew. Three annoyances down. One to go.
With Infinite
Lord Brevon: Infinite! Have you exterminated the rodent yet?
Infinite: In due time, Brevon. The rat is battling my Phantoms as we speak
Lord Brevon: Forget about the Phantoms! You have the power to crush him with your own hands, so do it!
Infinite: And dirty my hands for such an unworthy opponent? Surely you jest.

Summer: *Worried* What was that?
Y/n: If I were a betting man, I'd say Shadow is back up. Just stay right here and be careful, alright?
Y/n's POV
I arrived at Shadow with a smirk on my face and I could tell he wasn't happy to see me.
Y/n: And here I was thinking I'd get to save the day for the millionth time.
Shadow: Hmph. If I didn't know any better. I'd say you're becoming a slouch. Otherwise, you would've destroyed those Phantoms much sooner.
Y/n: *Offended* Me? Slouch? Do you know how many adventures I go on a daily basis? I just wanted to see how they compare to the originals, that's all.
Shadow: Reckless intentions like that will get you killed one day.
Y/n: *Shrugs* What can I say? I like fun. I'm still here, aren't I?
I suddenly sense a surge of power as Shadow and I see Infinite back up.
Shadow: The day is still young.
Infinite: Your pointless babbling irritates me. I can feel the ruby's power adapting with each fight. Soon I will be completely unstoppable!
Y/n: Great. Now I actually will be saving the day again. Nice job, Shads
Shadow: The best option right now is to team up.
Y/n: Tuckered out from using too much power, eh? Alright, I'll carry you, Shadowl ol' buddy.
