I had my arm reaching out still as I looked out of the window, seeing Darius on the other side in the pit, while the Baryonyx was on the opposite side, sniffing around searching for him. I was panicking a little, trying to think of something that we could do to help Darius only only for the shipping container to lower again, making me head to the doors, opening them as fast as I could. Darius runs over towards us, grabbing my outstretched hand as I pull him in, stumbling backwards as he stumbles forward, wrapping his arm around me in a hug so we both don't end up falling. I hug him tightly, fearing something else would happen if I let go as he hugs back, catching his breath while Sammy and Yaz close the doors just as the Baryonyx barged into them. 
"I was so scared thinking something would happen to you." I mutter, nervously.
"I wouldn't leave you so soon." Darius says, looking at me as I let go of the hug a little to look up at him. I only just realised how close we were, making my heart race as I became extremely shy and nervous. Before I could move back his lips ended up on mine, making me close my eyes, kissing him back. It was quick as we pulled apart hearing the giggles from Zayna and Yaz as Sammy cheered.
"About time." Yaz crosses her arms, giving Sammy a knowing look.
"I thought it would happen with how close you two got!" Sammy cheered, making me nervous as Darius and I chuckled quietly.
"Stop guys, your embarrassing her." Darius jokes, hiding me behind him.
"Funny. Now Dino-nerd is back let's figure out how to get out of here, shall we?" I change the subject, Darius playfully rolling his eyes as he rests his arm around my shoulders. Before any of us could say anything else, we quiet down, hearing someone enter the lab. We walk over to the windows, peeking out to see people entering, making us hide back in the shipping container. We see a scientist amd a lady in a white suit entering, making us move away from the windows, Darius still having his arm wrapped around me, tightly as he's become more protective.
"I told you to wait in Sarr's office." The lady in  white says. 
"Sorry. I heard screaming and came to see if you were alright." Another female voice replies. Darius shares a look with Yaz and Sammy, his grip around me loosening a little. Silently, as Darius, Yaz and Sammy look out the windows, I also stand beside Darius, getting a glimpse of the people, seeing a girl with short blue hair entering. "Must have been the, uh... captain."
"What?" Yaz gasps.
"What's wrong?" Zayna asks.
"That girl down there looks like a friend of ours." Sammy answers.
"Sounds like her too." Yaz adds.
"That's impossible." Darius says as my heart clenched, realising that their talking about Brooklynn. I didn't know how to feel seeing that if it most likely is her, alive, then why did she keep it a secret. Why is she working with the Broker. And most importantly what does this mean for my relationship with Darius. So far that kiss right now might mean nothing to him as Brooklynn was the one who had caught his heart first. Though the kiss meant everything to me, I don't want to hold him back at all.
"Why?" Zayna asks.
"Cause our friend's dead." Sammy answers. 
"Anywho, would you mind showing me the way back to the office?" Brooklynn asks. "It's like a maze in here. I'd hate to get lost."
