Hyunjin walked beside Y/n as she carried the bags filled with the decorations to laughter and joy. She hummed as Hyunjin walked beside her, the two of them walking out of the mall as Y/n stopped in her tracks. "Aren't you gonna go home?" She asked in confusion. "I really don't have anything to do, the house is empty" Hyunjin shrugged, not wanting to go back to his apartment where his voice echoed.
"It's ten, shouldn't you fall asleep as soon as you walk into your bedroom?" Y/n argued as Hyunjin squinted his eyes while shaking his head. "I fall asleep at like three, there's no way It'd be that easy for me to plop and fall asleep" Hyunjin denied as Y/n scoffed. "Fine, do whatever you want" Y/n stated before walking away from the entrance. "Wait" Hyunjin called out to her, causing Y/n to stop in her tracks. She looked back and hummed "Hm?"
Hyunjin brought his keys up and pressed the unlock button, the Mercedes behind Y/n lit up. "I'll give you a ride, you shouldn't carry those bags since you're already short enough" Hyunjin joked, earning an eye roll from Y/n. "Come on, I'll give you a ride" Hyunjin went up behind Y/n and opened the passenger door for Y/n to get in. It was gloomy outside which scared Y/n as she didn't want to walk alone at night. Y/n decided to take up the offer and sat down on the passenger seat with Hyunjin getting in to the driver seat as he started the card, turning the heater on and slowly backing out of the parking lot.
Hyunjin had already saved Y/n's location in his car, Y/n leaned back on the car seat as she watched the sky outside, getting a shuddering feeling as her eyes landed on the dark alleyways with a small hint of light that weren't even stable enough that they were flickering.

Hyunjin turned left as he had driven into Y/n's neighborhood, there wasn't that much light which got him to remember how scared Y/n looked when he saw her a few days ago. The fear in Y/n's face replayed in his head, causing a smirk to appear on his face as he slowed down when he got closer to Y/n's house. "Right there" Y/n gestured as Hyunjin stopped the car. "Thanks" Y/n got out of the car, Hyunjin parked the car and followed Y/n. "You're gonna come in?" Y/n asked Hyunjin, looking at him with her eyebrows furrowed. "Can I?" Hyunjin asked for permission before earning a silent and a hesitant nod from Y/n.
Y/n slowly inserted the key in and unlocked the door silently to not wake anyone up, opening the door quietly as she walked in and signaled Hyunjin to come in. Luckily both of the family members were sleeping upstairs as Y/n placed the bag full of decorations on the table.
Hyunjin admired how lively the house looked, it was cozy and clean. He guessed that this is what home looks like. Not a single echo coming out as they speak, the bag rustling not filling the room up because of how the washing machine was on.
"You can take a seat, if you want anything just ask me" Y/n gestured Hyunjin to sit down on one of the spinning stools. He nodded and sat down as he watched Y/n do her work. She took out the decorations from the bag, separating them one by one.
She took the balloons out along with the helium balloon tank. She made sure it made no sounds as she slowly started filling the balloons up with Helium and attaching strings to them before letting them go as they hit the ceiling.
"Need help?" Hyunjin didn't feel like watching as he stood up from the stool and walked towards Y/n. "Can you hang these up on the ceiling?" Y/n handed him five sets of dangling stars. Hyunjin took them and opened them, he grabbed a tape and started sticking the strings on the ceilings as the stars hung down from the ceiling.
Y/n was moving quickly as she was done with half of the balloons. She let all of them go as they filled up the ceiling, the others balloons finally going towards the stars that were hung. The stars stuck out from the small gaps of the balloons since they didn't occupy that much space.
