“SHE IS NOT MY DAUGHTER! I DON”T HAVE A DAUGHTER” Silence spread in the room hearing him only the sound of clock ticking was heard. Everyone except the elders look at him confused.

“W-what do y-you m-mean?” Aakansha’s low voice broke the silence.

“Don’t even think that Rajvardhan No!” Rajveer’s voice echoed.

Aakansha Pov

The room that was once filled with warmth felt cold, the familiar faces across me were now looking like strangers. Adopted? That word continuously ringed in my mind louder and louder until it drowned my every memory of this house. No, this couldn’t be right. How could my entire life be a lie? No no no! I shaked my head hoping it would be a bad dream or he would take his words back.

But their eyes say it's not. This was real.My heart hammered in my chest. The people I have been trusting the most have all lied to me. Every hug, every moment, every memory felt tainted now. How could they? How could they keep something like this from me? I wanted to scream, to lash out, to demand answers but my voice felt stuck in my throat. They had taken away my right to know who I really am.

Tears burned my eyes as I fought to keep them at bay. I was feeling like a stranger in my own life.

“Inspector please take him!” Bade papa said and the inspector started dragging him away. I looked up and saw him smiling as if he was mocking me.

He was happy seeing me miserable ruining my life once again. As he disappeared from our sight, bade papa took a step closer to me but I stopped him showing my palm. I was not in my senses to listen to any explanation. The situation was too much to handle.

“P-please” I walked out from there towards the garden. I couldn't stop shaking. My legs were feeling weak. I collapsed on the swing and every breath I was taking was feeling like I was drowning. I tried to calm myself down but couldn’t, his words kept echoing in my mind. I clutched my hair tightly.
