The loud beeping coming from the alarm Ross kept on his bedside table rang out an annoying chirp, waking Ross up immediately. He felt like shit. He had a headache and a stomach ache, he only had one sock on and someone was in bed beside him.

He had the view of her back to him, so he snakes his arms around her waist and whispered into her ear to wake her up.
"Morning beautiful." He nuzzled into her shoulder before she turned to look at him in a dazed sleep.

That's when it hit him. That was no girl in his bed. It was Derek fucking Shepherd. The two stared at each other with dropped jaws. How could this have happened?

"Did we...?" Derek began, but quickly noticed his lack of clothing and decided not to say it up front.
"Holy shit..." Ross began, his biggest concern was if he had been on the receiving end and not the giving end.

"Does your.. ass hurt?" Ross bit the bullet and asked, much to his relief, Derek nodded slightly.
"We can't tell anyone about this." Ross ordered, standing up, only to realise he was naked.

"Shit!" He yelled covering his lower half with the covers, which then exposed Dereks naked lower region and made him panic too.

"Close your eyes." Ross ordered and waited until he did to get dressed into some clothes. "I'm done." He informed the other and stepped out of the room so he could change.

"Uh... Ross?" Derek called out from in his room.
"Yeah?" Ross questioned, why was he calling for him?
"There's a slight issue... my clothes are covered in-" Derek didn't get to finish his sentence before Ross cut him off.
"Borrow some of mine!" He heard Derek mumble a thank you before he went downstairs and made them both a mug of coffee.

"Hey..." Derek awkwardly greeted, limping over and wincing as he took a seat at the breakfast bar. Ross couldn't help but feel bad.

"I'm sorry." Ross apologised with a weak smile. Derek shrugged it off.
"We obviously both wanted it, I mean... you're you." Ross laughed at that.

"Have you seen yourself?" Ross asked, not-so-subtly checking out the man sat opposite him. Derek blushed slightly.

"I'm not... gay." Derek finally said, breaking the awkward silence.
"Me neither." Ross agreed, they shook hands.
"Here's to a forgotten drunk mistake." Derek smiled.
"What drunk mistake?" Ross added on, making both men laugh.

Ross pulled up to the hospital in his car, Derek sat next to him.
"You didn't have to drive me." Derek thanked him.
"You left your car at Joe's and I live a thirty minute walk away." Ross laughed and got out, grabbing his bag and walking in beside Derek.

Much to both the males surprise, a group of reporters were in the waiting area, watching everyone who walked in and all breaking out in smiles as they saw Ross enter.

"Fuck." Ross ran off, leaving Derek alone as the reporters all crowded around him.
"Are you the legendary Dr. Dennis's secret lover?" One asked, making Derek stutter as he tried to answer. He looked up at the canteen on the floor above and saw Ross mouthing sorry to him. Derek pushed through all the reporters and eventually made it to the floor he needed to get to.

"Dr. Grey, Dr. Karev and Dr. Yang, you are on Dr. Dennis's service again, he requested you, this does not mean you are any good at what you're doing." Dr. Bailey informed them before walking off with the other three interns again, Ross and Carter sharing a wave once again like they did the day before.

"Why did you request us?" Cristina asked, as the four navigated their way through the crowded peds floor.
"You three impressed me with how you acted yesterday, don't be flattered." Ross explained, walking into a child's room and smiling at the small boy who was laid in his bed with his mom sat beside him.

"Hello Thomas! I'm Dr. D!" Ross introduced himself to the ten-year-old. Alex snatched the chart before the other two got the chance to and began presenting.
"Thomas Carter, ten years old, presents with-" Alex began before Thomas laughed over him at absolutely nothing. "Random laughing attacks." Alex finished before putting the chart back.

"Did you find anything funny then, Thomas?" Ross asked the boy as he checked his pupils.
"No, Dr. D." Thomas began laughing again. It was hard to see, but from what Ross did catch, his pupil grew to a size much larger than it should have in his left eye every time he laughed.

"Dr. Karev, can you page Neuro?" He turned to the three interns, the only male one already on his pager.
"Yang, what could it mean that his left pupil dilates far too large when said laughing attacks occur?" He asked the intern. She had a second of thought before coming out with
"A brain tumour?" Ross nodded slightly.

"That could be, but what is causing the laughing?" Meredith stuck her hand up and he picked on her.
"Seizures?" Ross nodded, he agreed completely.
"That's what I'd assume, that these laughing attacks are seizures, but we can't be sure without a neuro consult." Right as he finished, Derek limped in.

"Dr. Shepherd, are you okay?" Mer asked him, he nodded and subtly glanced at Ross before starting a neuro exam on Thomas.
"This is a hard catch, but I believe that his laughing fits are, infact, seizures, but an MRI will tell us whether it's a tumour that's creating them." Derek told the worrisome mother and Thomas.

"You heard him, Karev, order an MRI." Karev groaned.
"Why do I always have to order everything and page everyone?" He complained. Ross raised an eyebrow at him.
"Because you're a suck up, so you get the scut." Ross smiled sarcastically at him, he groans again before walking away.

Derek caught himself checking Ross out but quickly caught himself and walked away. Ross walked out and was met by Callie Torres, smiling with two coffees.
"Ross, you like caramel mocha, right?" She handed one to him as they walked down the hall together.

"Uh.. yeah, thanks." He smiled.
"You wanna go get a drink later?" She smiled, Ross froze slightly, thinking of what had happened with Derek when they got a drink but quickly swallowed his fear.

"That sounds great." He smiled at her, handing her his phone to put her number into, which she promptly did.
"See you at 8?" He asked her, she nodded and the two split ways.

"I haven't been able to stop thinking about you all day." Ross said as he and Derek met up in an on call room.
"Me neither." The two stared at eachother until they connected lips.

Ross never made it to drinks with Callie.
