"Hello?" I talk into the phone as I sit on the school bus. "Hey baby girl. How was school?" Mason asks. "Good. How was your day?" I ask. "Awful. My step dad woke me up at 6:30 in the morning to do push-ups outside in the front lawn." Mason complained. "At least it builds up your muscle." I encourage him. "I bet it would've had I done them." He answers. I smirk. "You really are bad huh?" I say. He can feel him smiling. "Yep. Something like that I guess you could say." He says. We laugh. "What did you do all day then?" "Nothing." "Why? You have a full complete day to yourself and you do nothing." "I'm laughing so hard right now." "I bet you are." "Yo. I just can't wait to get back to school and see my baby girl. I wanna hug you, and squeeze you, and never let you go." I smiled at his words. "Seriously?" "Yeah baby." "Aweeeee. Thanks Mason." "Hey. Can I ask you something." "Yeah." "I know you're probably gonna say no cause you do it every time but can we please go out." "Yes." "I mean, I really think you should consider the offer." "Mason I said yes." "I mean think. You'd be dating someone like me. Where could you- wait. Did you say yes?" "Yes Mason. I did." "Yes! Ha! You finally said yes!" I laugh at him. "But we gotta keep it on the low." "Okay." He says as I get off the bus. I wave at Amanda and Chelsea and they wave back. "Alright. Girlfriend. Imma have to talk later. My moms home." "Nooo! Please don't leave me." "I'm not leaving. I'm vacating." "Don't do that either. C'mon!" "I'm not supposed to be on the phone." "And." "AND my moms crazy. You've gotta believe me." "Aight. Bye Mason." "Bye Rebecca. I love you." "You what?" "I said I love you." "You love me." "Yes! I hear my mom walking up the steps. I got to go." "Wait! Mason I-" and then he hung up. "I love you too."
