Y/N's POV
So far the game hasn't been going well nor has it gone terribly. Kamakura International was tied against Wakatake Group in the first half. This guy, I think his name was Keito, scored the first time and Rin was able to cause a tie at the last minute. Luckily, there has been a break to regroup since forty-five minutes of running around doesn't sound ideal.
While watching Rin play, I had a feeling that the opposing team realized that he was the center of his team. It's probably a given since he is labeled as the center forward, but typically another player should be "the heart" since they can run around more and create more plays or something. To be honest, I can understand why it kinda sucks to be in Rin's position. I can't imagine having all these expectations set and trying to be brought down by others. Would be better if his team was good at their job, but all I can hope now is that Rin gets a better team in the future.
But back to Rin and the game. The Wakatake Group wasn't just blocking Rin and his movements, no, they were physically assaulting and pushing him. And to be frank, I don't know why the referee hasn't say anything yet. Maybe borderline rough play is okay as long as someone doesn't get injured? Or maybe I don't know much about soccer, so I think this is a problem or I care about Rin so much that I looked into this situation so deeply? But whatever it is, it definitely was more than "bodying" in my eyes.
Rin's POV
The second half of the game began with a new string of players resetting their positions on the field. I was still the main striker, but some other had their positions moved around and some players were switched out due to fatigue.
I was fortunate enough to make a goal down to the last second. Without that goal, I don't think any scouts would be looking at me anymore and would only look at the brat who's been playing with me the entire game. To make matters worse, his goon of a partner was now able to join the game.
I stood there, on the field, waiting for this match to begin. My eyes began to wander around the stadium, still trying to find Y/N. I know there was no use since the place was so large, but I needed some hope at the moment, a sign that I'd finish this game on a good note.
Keito stood in front of me as the other team's center forward and said, interrupting me from searching, "Hey! Rin!"
I now looked at him, absolutely disgusted by his voice.
I spat back in response, "What do you want now? Was dirty play not enough for you?"
"Not at all," Keito smiled as he played with the ball, "If fact, I want to roughen you up some more, but you need to lock in so I look good."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."
The announcer spoke to remind everyone that the new match would begin in a bit. My attention was now focused on the ball and the referee. Once the referee blew his whistle, Keito kicked the ball into play.
Keito attempted to run around me, with his friend close behind him, but I ran after him for the ball.
"Here you go Itsuki!" Keito attempted to pass the ball over to him.
Luckily I was able to intercept the pass and quickly kicked the ball over to Isamu, who was free and received the ball well. Isamu turned and ran the other way. Keito and I ran after Isamu together, attempting to get the ball back.
Isamu, pressured by players from Wakatake Group, made a random shot. I could tell since he kicked the ball between one of our players and one of the other team's players.
