Chapter Twenty-One
MILANI'S POV
(THIRD PERSON LIMITED)Sunday, 2:15 PM
BERKLEY, GA
Blake. Blake. Blake.
That was all that occupied Milani's mind the next day.
His handsome face, his tattoos, his well-built body, his scent, his smile, his low hazel eyes and how they looked at her, and best of all, his lips that she finally had the chance to touch. To feel.
It seemed to be even worse than the previous week all because of a few hickeys and a cut-off makeout session.
And honestly, she felt guilty, not because of the kiss itself, but the fact that he was the only thing that occupied her mind.
Not that she planned on not going to parties for a while, not that a shooting happened yesterday and Naomi passed out from the pain of being shot in the shoulder, but Blake. And she felt like a sh*t friend because of it.
'His b*tch a** needa leave me alone' Milani thought knowing she probably would have difficulty keeping herself away from him if they were ever in the same situation again.
Milani rolled around in bed from morning up until now. She didn't bother to get up at all even though she was hungry. She honestly just felt like sh*t.
She was supposed to be in her car at the moment as Naomi got discharged from the hospital that morning after getting the bullet taken out and some additional treatment.
But she wasn't awake to do so, so Isabella and Saraya who were still up answered Naomi's call and with Milani's permission, they took her car to go pick up Naomi.
Suddenly a loud knock came from the front door, and honestly, Milani would've ignored it and kept silent, however, the knocks were persistent so she got up lazily, fixing her tank top, shorts, and bonnet, putting on a thick blanket over herself to cover all of the hickeys and love bites before walking across the wood floorboard toward the door.
She slowly unlocked the door and opened it to reveal Laila, all dressed up. "Hey, cuzzo." She smiled as she pushed open the door heading inside.
Milani turned to look at her with nothing to say before turning back around to close and lock the door. "What happened?" Milani asked, her voice slightly raspy from sleep as she headed to the bathroom.
Laila followed after Milani while responding, "Well I heard about the shooting that happened yesterday at Blake's birthday party and I know you went so...I wanted to check if you're alive 'n well."
