I entered Freddie and Roger's room, having found the door open. I decided not to show up, maybe to scare them later. They were in the kitchen having breakfast and talking.

Actually, the right word would have been more... arguing animatedly.

"I put my heart and soul into this song" was the blond boy.

"No one is gainsaying that" the bassist replied.

"And you don't like it because you want your own songs!" Roger shouted, while cutting the bread for the toast.

"It's not that, Roger" John stopped him with his usual silly smile.

"And what is it?"

There was a moment of silence.

"I'm in Love with My Car" Brian said.

The guitarist and the bassist looked at each other amused.

"Maybe it's not strong enough?" the boy with the curls asked again.

"What does even mean"not strong enough"!?" Roger asked pissed off.

A noise came from the other side of the room. Freddie came through the door in a red Christmas jumper and his hair was messy.

"I know I'm late. What did I miss?" he said, picking up the teapot and pouring himself some tea.

"Discussing Roger's car songs" John explained, eating his pancakes.

"Is it strong enough? That's all I'm asking. If I'm the only one here, then I apologize," Brian said, trying to hurt the boy's feelings as little as possible, but still making his point.

"How it goes your new song, then, hmm?" he asked angrily, picking up a piece of paper from the table.

"You call me sweet like I'm some kind of cheese????" he cursed, imitating Brian's voice.

"It's good," he defended himself.

"Wooooow," he complained sarcastically.

"When my hand is on your grees g*n..." the guitarist asked, complaining.

"It's a metaphor, Brian!" he shouted at him.

"It's just a little weird, Roger. What exactly are you doing with that car?" John reasoned, agreeing with the curly-haired boy.

"Kids, please," Fred said when he saw me.

"Don't discuss such dangerous things in front of a girl," he said, walking over with his arms outstretched.

I hugged him, looking at the others in amusement.

"That was actually funny. But why do you have to pick just one song?" I asked.

Roger seemed to calm down.

"It's for We Will Rock You, Nancy. We can only pick one song," he explained.

"And we have to hope it's not his," John added, making Roger even more nervous.

"Yours isn't bad, Deaky. The one that was like... "Uhh, You Make Me Live,"" the guitarist hummed.

He smiled.

"Oh well... Thanks," he said, blushing.

My boyfriend glared at him.

"Deaky... why are you so... nice and kind these days?"

John jumped.

"W-what..."

"I think it's because he was doing something else when we were shopping," Roger guessed, laughing.

All of us had smiles on our faces, while Deacon blushed even more.
