Epilogue

                                    

                                          
Luther could only stare at the lifeless body of his beloved. Parang tinatarak ng sanlibong patalim ang kanyang puso sa nangyari. Nanghihina nyang pinagmasdan ang babaeng parang mahimbing na natutulog lang, he finds himself hugging her again before mumbling thousands of griefful words. 
"Amara.." Walang buhay na saad ng lalaki, it's as if he's still trying to process everything. 
He failed to protect her.
He failed to save her.
"What the fuck did you do!" Isang marahas na braso ang humila sa Emperor patayo, Drake's fist immediately hit Luther's face kaya nama'y pasalampak itong napaupo.
Parang batang hinagkan ni Luther ang dalawa nyang tuhod at ipinatong doon ang nakayukong ulo. The emperor broke down silently, rocking his body back and forth before producing a muffled cry that only he, can hear.
"Kitten, b-bakit ka nakahiga dyan? Come on, let's go back to my mansion and you can continue your sleep there, alright?" Tuluyan na ngang nawala sa bait ang binatang si Drake matapos mapagtantong wala na, patay na ang kaniyang pinakamamahal.
He can't accept it and he will never accept it. Abot kamay nya na ang babae tapos mawawala lang pala ito na parang  bula? Para saan pa ang kaniyang mga pinaghirapang gawin kung mawawala lang rin naman pala ang babaeng dahilan kung bakit nya ito ginagawa?
He's ready to kill his own blood for Amara. He even waged a rebellion just to have her, at ito lang pala ang bubungad sa kanya?
With his bloodshot eyes, he turned to his brother. Kinuwelyuhan nya ang natutulala pa ring si Luther. "What happened you fucker? Tell me right now, why is my kitten there?! She's.. she's not breathing." Napahilamos sa mukha si Drake bago nanginginig na hinarap ang kapatid na wala pa rin sa sarili. "My girl.. my girl is dead Kuya! Pakiusap, ano ang nangyari? Did you kill her?" The man could only assume that, he wants answers.
"She's my girl." Iyon lamang ang tanging nasagot ng Emperor. 
"She's MY girl, not yours." Luther's possessive voice can be heard.
The Emperor lift up his head straight to face Luther. "How dare you covet what's mine?" Parang nababaliw na saad ng Emperor.
Drake could only grit his teeth upon witnessing his brother's behavior. And on that moment onwards, he already knew that the Emperor has fallen to the Abyss. Hindi na ito matutulungan pa.
Sa mahinang paraan ay umatras si Drake, he lifelessly looked at Amara. A second later, he finds himself holding his sharp sword. Itinutok nya ito sa sariling lalamunan. Amara is dead? That won't stop him from claiming her, susundan nya ito hanggang sa kamatayan.
Someone hugged him tightly from behind before he could even cut his throat. "K-kuya Drake, stop, don't do this please! Hindi ko kakayanin kung pati ikaw ay mawawala rin, you're all I have. Pakiusap wag mo naman itong gawin." His sister, the princess, uttered in a desperate voice that made him let go of his sword.
"R-Rhea, wala na sya. Si Amara, wala na si Amara. How am I suppose to continue living? Tangina si Amara ang buhay ko Rhea." Puno ng hinanakit na saad ni Drake, he could hear the faint sob of his sister.
"I know, I know, I know brother. But do you think she will be happy upon seeing you ruining yourself like this? Hindi. Please live for me, kayo na lamang ni Kuya Luther ang meron ako." The princess's loud cry is enough to stop Drake from his intentions.
Tuluyan nya na lamang nabitawan ang espada bago padausdos na napaluhod sa lupa. The princess hugged her brother again as she cried with him.
The battle that was once too harsh for everyone's ear was now nothing but a pure silence. Ang bawat magkalabang pangkat ay tila napahinto sa ginagawa. No one dared to unleash another strike of their sword.
