"Alright now I'll be back in a few short moments, please take a seat at the table while you wait, and if you don't mind please keep my husband away from the wine. I don't want his appetite to be ruined before dinner. I'll highly appreciate it, thank you." Rina said right before heading over to the kitchen.
Miko and I then turned our attention towards Martin seeing him already sitting at the table with a bruise on his face due to him trying to take a bottle of wine without Rina's permission. We took our seats at the table, Miko sat on top of the table due to him being so small while I sat on the floor next to the table to not break a chair.
"So.. Martin, mind telling us a little bit more about yourself?" Miko asked, trying to break the awkward silence due to the funny incident that just happened.
Martin then had a bright smile on his face after hearing those words coming out of Miko's mouth. "Took you long enough to ask Hahaha I'm more than happy to tell you all about myself." Martin told both of them.
"And we're more than happy to listen so please start when you're ready." Miko told Martin.
"Hahaha Very well then." Martin got himself comfortable on his chair and scooted closer to the table before speaking once more. " Let me start from the beginning once more, my name is Martin Smith the dwarf, my age is 220 and I'm a former legendary blacksmith." He told us in a proud voice.
"220 years old!? You don't look a day over 60." Miko told Martin.
Martin's smile only grew even bigger after hearing what we had to say. "Why thank you, and here I thought I was an old retired geezer." Martin couldn't help but laugh.
"Wait, did you say a legendary blacksmith!" Ethan said in a hyper voice due to him being excited because he only heard of them in video games that he used to play.
"Why yes I did. There are many types of blacksmiths but only a few of us could call ourselves a legendary blacksmith. Only the best of the best are allowed to hold on to that title just like myself." Martin responded to Ethen.
"But why did you say a former legendary blacksmith?" Ethan asked in confusion.
"I used to be one of the top blacksmiths in the city of Yamaki. I was even considered the best blacksmith of all time at one point. But I decided to leave that life behind me, it wasn't really what I wanted so instead I opened my own small shop somewhere else. Somewhere more calm and peaceful. " Martin said.
Ethan still looked a bit confused at Martin's response. "So you decided to throw it all away just because you wanted a change of scenery? Are you sure you don't regret your decision? Ethan committed.
"Ethan!" Miko shouted. "It's not for you to judge one's choices if they're good or not. Sorry Martin, I apologize for his rudeness, please forgive him."
"Hahaha No need for an apology. If I'm being truthful with you, the first few months of moving here I did start having a few doubts if I made the right decision of coming here, but all of that changed after I met the love of my life." Martin stated.
Right after Martin said that Rina soon walked in with a tray filled with all sorts of food. "Sorry for the wait but dinner is now ready." Rina said while setting the food on the wooden table. "Please help yourself with whatever you like."
Martin then reached his hand out towards the food but was quickly stopped by Rina slapping it. "Ouch What was that for!?" Martin then complained to Rina.
"Now don't be rude sweetie we have guests over they should be the ones who get to pick first." Rina gave Martin a cold stare before looking back at us then giving us a fateful smile. "Go ahead you two, have first pick."
