Sitara started panting heavily once she entered inside the hostel. Keeping her palm on the left side of her chest, she tried calming her wild heartbeats by rubbing it on her chest.

She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes.

"I love you, Tara.."

Her eyes snapped open recalling his words. She immediately took out her phone from the bag and typed a message then sent it to him.

"Reached."

She knew he wouldn't move from there until she messages him that she reached safely. She knows him better.

A small smile, mixed with happiness and a bit nervousness formed on her lips. As her breathing normalised, she heaved a sigh of relief.

He actually confessed, Sitara!

The voice spoke from inside her. Kabir just confessed his feelings to her. He loves her. Yes, he loves her and his eyes spoke everything more than his words could.

She leaned her back against the wall and shed the tears of happiness. The tears of joy, nervousness, hesitance and..love.

.
.

She was staring at the ceiling fan with wide awake eyes. Sleep was far away from them. The only thing going inside her head was his confession and the way he was looking at her, holding her.

For the first time, she experienced something this pure. Yes, she has been proposed before. Three times to be precise in school days. But none of them seemed genuine or even close to it.

The boys were basically unknown to her, two were her seniors and one was her classmate with whom she rarely interacted before. She always searched for truthfulness and determination in their eyes.

That's why when Kabir confessed, the first thing she did was to look in his eyes and tried to find any hint of uncertainty or lie there but couldn't find any.

She was happy, yes. Because, somewhere she knew whatever she felt about Kabir was not merely an attraction. A simple phase of crush which would probably fade as soon as it happened.

But the days she spent without him, made her realise that the feelings has grown inside her, they have developed into something beyond attraction and something just so pure and true.

"Stupid, Sitara." She muttered hitting her head. "Why did you behave that way? What he must be thinking now??" She was cursing herself for not responding properly but at that time, she was just not in the right state of her mind.

Immediately, she picked her phone and opened his chat. He was not online and it was midnight. She bit her lip contemplating whether she should text at this time or wait till the morning.

"There is still so much time left." She muttered closing her eyes. She didn't want to disturb him at this time.

Nevertheless, her heart didn't agree to this and she quickly typed a message and send it to him.

Crossing her fingers, she closed her eyes and put the phone aside as her heart beat grew faster. She didn't know what would she say over the text but she just wanted to talk to him and maybe let him know what she feels.

She waited for him to see the message. However, he was offline as the message didn't show double tick which meant either he was on a call or his net was off.

Keeping her phone on the pillow beside her, she kept looking at it, waiting for him to read it. But he didn't.

Her eyes started feeling heavy and soon sleep took over her...
