Author's note-
> This was basically me practicing to write the Sturniolo triplets for chapter... *gasp* spoileralert!> And writing fluff is so exhausting, oml, I'm so sorry this week's update took so long. If there are plotholes or grammar mistakes, sorry for that, I won't spend any more time than necessary around this chapter because I hated writing it lol
----------
One day, the entire group went out together. "The entire group," standing for Ashley, Jerry, Sadie, Nick, Matt, Chris, Sam, and Colby. It was Jerry's idea to spend more time with each other, and he was the one to create a group chat and plan the entire thing, the others had no time for objections. Talk about having too much time.
He promised them it would be worth it, and they rented out a bowling range for a Sunday. Yes, the entire thing for an entire day. Jerry was thrilled, to say the least – if his leg had been whole, he'd have been pacing around the apartment all day long. Even like this, he paced more than he should have, and Ashley constantly reminded him that he had to stay put more.
Ashley knew she would start overthinking. So, she let the others sort everything out, occasionally sending a thumbs up in the group chat. To say she wasn't excited wasn't entirely true – she loved spending time with the triplets, and the more they were, the merrier it would be.
Since Jerry was still unable to drive, Sadie didn't have a licence, and Ashley didn't trust herself with driving a car after only riding bikes for years, they were picked up by the triplets and Sam and Colby – Jerry being sat down in the backseat of Matt's car, right next to Nick. Sadie and Ashley shared the backseat in the other car.
The bowling hall was nice. It was a small place, only containing three ranges with a small sitting booth each. Two of the booths were already filled with groups of people sharing drinks and snacks, but no one spared the newcomers more than a single glance.
Walls, floor, ceiling, and carpets were kept in dark colours, mainly a dark, purplish blue, and decorated with pictures of planets, stars, and galaxies that were glowing in the UV light.
"Very... spacey," Nick said as they entered, walking toward the lockers to put their shoes and bags away.
"I don't know, there's not that much space," Chris disagreed.
"That's spacious, dumbass," Nick scoffed, waving around the room. "See the colours? Stars, planets, everything? Spacey."
"That's not what that means," Matt disagreed, "just say space-ish."
"Alright, we get it," Chris chuckled and then he gestured to the bowling slippers. "Do we have to put these on?"
"Unless you want to slip as soon as you step on the bowling alley, which you probably will," Nick said, "yes, put the damn shoes on."
Ashley listened to their bickering, laughing to herself. Jerry was sitting on the bench next to her, contemplating whether to put on the shoes – he was basically just staring at Nick. She nudged him, smirking slightly as he snapped out of it and reached for a fitting pair of slippers. Obviously, he only used one of them, storing the other next to his pair.
Soft music was playing as the group walked to an empty range, Ashley slowly trailing behind them, next to Jerry.
"You sure you can bowl with your crutches?" she asked.
"I can still stand... more or less," he said. Not convinced, Ashley arched an eyebrow. "Nick will help me."
"Oh? Hands on your hips and everything?" she giggled, making him blush slightly — almost not visible in the UV light that made her white shirt glow.
