A devilish smirk was plastered on my face as we loaded up the trucks with supplies and the rest of the Saviors. Every member of my group practically worshipped at my feet and all I had to do was lead them. The feeling was nearly indescribable! The only word I could think of was euphoric. I almost couldn't get enough of it!

"You good?" Daryl asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Why wouldn't I be?" My brows furrowed.

"Just making sure you're okay."

I smiled at him, kissing his cheek before heading down the line of trucks to make sure everyone was set and loaded. Daryl was always protective of me which was something I respected and loved about him. But I was just fine. In fact I was in my element. Why didn't I do this sooner?

The drive to the old Sanctuary was long and almost gruesome. A lump started to form in my throat from all the PTSD I had experienced here. But I couldn't let that stop me. Pushing it down I forced a smile on my face as we all came to a stop outside of the newly fixed fence.

"You can always back out." Daryl murmured from the driver seat.

"Why would I want to?" I asked. When Daryl shrugged I huffed, jumping out of the truck.

Landing swiftly on my feet I began marching to the frontline and smirked at the gate as I noticed some familiar faces.

"You're back!" Joey grinned from ear to ear, opening the gate.

Not being able to hold myself back I jogged up to him and gave him a big hug.

"I missed ya too." He chuckled, patting my back in a bro way. I'm sure he was getting death stares from Daryl.

"I didn't know you were here." I released him, taking a step back.

"I decided to stay and help bring this place back to its former glory," He paused, "Well, almost.. You get what I mean."

I nodded, "I'm glad you're here. I need people I trust to help me run this place."

Joey raised a brow, "You agreed to be in charge?"

"At first I didn't want to but I came around." I smiled. "How are things here?"

"Perimeter is good. All the fence lines are up. No freaks are getting through anytime soon!" He grinned.

"What about the inside?"

"It's coming together," Joey rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oh?" I questioned, "What's wrong?"

"There's something you gotta see." He spoke lowly, glancing towards the trucks behind me.

"Show me later." I caught his drift, patting his shoulder before turning my attention to the Saviours behind me. The group of rebellious Saviours stood awestruck at their newly rebuilt home. I couldn't blame them. I was too.
