Xylo's POV
I wake up to the rooster saying his loud good morning. I slowly opens my eyes and sit up. I get out of bed and give myself a good stretch and head to the bathroom. On my way there, Cal's door was slightly open and he was still sleeping, giving his little snores.
I brush my teeth and do my usual stuff then head back to my room to change. When I went to the dresser, I noticed two wrapped boxes with notes connected to them.
I grabbed the one on the left and read the note
"Happy Birthday Xylo"
"Sorry, Im not able to celebrate your birthday this time. I got mixed into some drama in another world and once again I got trapped. The way I sent you this was through a friend who may have left you a gift as well."
"I hope you enjoy this little gift, it's specialized for demigods, divine-kins, semigods, and any other creatures or people with magic specifically. Do be careful when using them though. If you put them on you will become powerless completely. Hence the hook I added in, it can remove the cuff easily but it is the only known enchanted weapon that can remove the cuff so DON'T LOSE IT!"
"I do hope these enchanted cuff will be helpful for any threats in the future. Have good Birthday Xylo, hopefully I'll see you soon after I escape this jail cell"

I chuckled at the fact that Enola got caught again and place the letter down. I unwrap and open the box to reveal three black cuffs with an enchanted opal embedded in. The hook that was mentioned in the letter was right beside the cuffs but wrapped in brown paper. 
I didn't unwrap the hook just yet since I was curious about what the other letter said. I recognized the hand writing immediately and began to read the letter.
"Happy Birthday Xy,"
"I hope you're having a great day today. I apologize for not being there for many years, blame Enola partially for that. But that doesn't matter right now, that can be a conversation for another day.
"I got you a small but special gift, this I'm sure you already know what it does since Enola gave you a vile. I noticed that you needed more ink, so here it is. Use this squid ink on a rainy day, you already know what it does."
"I also got you a dagger, I heard from Enola that you like to use weapons so here's one that I got from my homeland. I hope you have fun with it as much as I have. Have a good birthday Xylo"

"P.S. The reason Your Mother got trapped is because she decided to patronize a king and a queen, which she won't stop doing"

I roll my eyes playfully and put the letter down then I open the box quickly. I see the bottle of squid ink and a bag. I grab the bag and pull out a handle out of the bag. 
It carried an icy blue gemstone on the end of the handle, the handle appeared to be made of obsidian and plants. I take the dagger out of its holster to reveal an iridescent purple blade.
