Standing in front of the huge mansion, Yunhee gaped at it. "How's it possible for someone to live alone in this stadium-like home?" She mumbled to herself. After adjusting her dress and hair, she headed toward the home.

As she approached that huge gate, a guard hurried over to greet her with a broad smile and a bow, saying, 'Good evening, ma'am!' She bowed and returned the smile. 'Good evening! I'm here to see Mr. Kim.'

'Yes, ma'am, kindly come this way.' She followed the guard after nodding.

They arrived in front of the big open entrance, and he yelled out a name. A woman in her thirties rushed over.

'Mrs. Choi, she has come to meet Sir. Show her the way, please!'
After giving Yunhee a quick glance and pausing, the woman smiled slightly and motioned for her to follow.

As they passed along the corridor, Yunhee gazed around. The space was quite large, yet it had very little furnishings. It was all darkly themed. The furniture was all gray, white, or black, and the floor was made of gray marble tiles. The walls were decorated with beautiful artwork, and she noticed that there were plants in almost every corner and crevice. She wasn't expecting him to be a plant person.

Following a short stroll, they arrived at the living room, which likewise had simple yet elegant furnishings. The golden chandelier, which hung from the ceiling, illuminated the living area with its golden glow. The transparent glass walls beautifully depicted the other side's garden. Yunhee couldn't help but admire Taehyung's taste of choice.

'Please have a sit ma'am. Sir will be here shortly.' After bowing, the woman walked away.

Yunhee was looking around, enjoying the lovely ambiance, when she suddenly noticed a photo frame. She took hesitant, curious steps in that way. It was a family picture. More tiny photo frames were on the side. Her hands lightly skimmed over each frame while her gaze scanned each one inquisitively.

The sight of teenage Taehyung flashing his boxy smile while an elderly couple held his hands and a birthday cake was placed in front of him made her heart ache.

'This must be Mr. Kim and his parents'

She could notice a striking resemblance between the man and the kid. Her gaze shifted to other pictures when she had finished looking at that one. He had cherished his childhood in this area. Unknowingly, tears welled up in her eyes as she observed Taehyung beaming in each shot with his family. She had never seen him so happy in these eight months, which made her heart ache even more.

Fate can be really cruel at times. The day he lost his family, he lost everything—his smile, his happiness.

She sniffled trying to control her emotions, and then a picture caught her eye. Taehyung was an adult in that picture. He might have been in his early 20s based on his appearance. There was also a girl in the picture with whom he was dancing. But because she had her back to the photo, she couldn't see the girl's face. It was obvious from the way Taehyung gazed at the girl that she held special meaning for him. Curiosity growing, Yunhee picked up the frame and carefully examined the picture.
