"Elena... what's wrong?" Bonnie asks, sounding a bit panicked now. Both her and Caroline are looking at me in worry.

I can't blame them. My belly started feeling funny after the first thirty seconds of the spell; that's when the neausea started. Now, I feel like my head is spinning while the lower part of my body feels... like it's fluttering as well as filling.

"Guys," I breath out nervously, still feeling neauseous as well as terrified now, "I think I'm pregnant

"Guys," I breath out nervously, still feeling neauseous as well as terrified now, "I think I'm pregnant."

"What? But... how?!?" Caroline asks, flabberghasted.

I huff, although my amusement is strained. "The normal way, Care. I'm married, remember? Elijah and I must have been pregnant for just a few weeks, and now... oh god, what if the spell exceeds the due date?!"

"Shit!" Bonnie pulls herself together, "Then we have to get ready to help you give birth, now! At this rate, the pregnancy will last just about 10 more minutes."

"No... I just found out about this! And Elijah isn't here." I'm whimpering now, getting more scared and desperate by the second.

Seeing my distress seems to pull Caroline out of her state of shock though. In the next moment, she's at my side.
"Shh, it's okay. For now, why don't you just lie down and try to breath and relax. And while you do that, Bon and I are going to... do everything that's necessary." The last part sounds a bit improvised and understandably so, but her words soothe me nevertheless.
"And who knows? Maybe the spell won't exceed the due date and you'll have days, or maybe even weeks to prepare for the birth." she adds.

"Maybe." I weakly respond, not believing it really, but still hoping for it.

Bonnie quickly leaves the room in order to get birth supplies, as she says. And probably google them before getting them, because she doesn't know what 'birth supplies' include. I try to stop her, knowing I could just tell her and Care what to do, but Caroline insists that for now, I should focus on breathing, relaxing and myself. Let her and Bon take care of things. Reluctantly, I oblige.

Now, laying on my back, I see the quickly growing bump of my uterus. If there was still any kind of doubt about me being pregnant, it's gone now. I can feel a baby growing inside me, kicking a little along the way. Now that I know I'm pregnant, a few things from the past weeks start to seem a bit different to me than they did before. Such as my constant cravings for pancakes and chocolate and my sleepiness.

I lay both of my hands on the growing bump of my belly. "Shh, honey, stay calm, please." I say to my baby, hoping to calm myself down more than my unborn fetus, "I know you weren't supposed to be hurried into growing this quickly, baby, I'm sorry. But, could you maybe... stay put for a while longer? For Mommy? Because, trust me, you don't wanna come into this world before your Mom has apologized to your Dad, so you can have both your parents around for your arrival. You want both your Mommy and you Daddy to be there to greet you, believe me, baby."
I stroke my bump, feeling it grow further under my fingertips. By now, the baby inside me must have about the size of an apple, I think.
