Let's start✨

Riddhima Sharma woke up suddenly, her heart racing. She squinted at the clock on her bedside table and gasped. “Oh no! It’s 8:00 AM! I’m going to be late for college!” She jumped out of bed, her mind racing with panic.

In a hurry, Riddhima rushed to her wardrobe. She pulled out her favorite blue kurti, which had beautiful designs on it. It was bright and cheerful. She quickly put it on with matching blue pants and tossed a light blue dupatta over her shoulders. The fabric felt soft against her skin.

Riddhima ran to the mirror to check her appearance. Her long, dark hair hung loose around her shoulders, and she smiled at her reflection. She grabbed her makeup kit and quickly applied some light foundation, a little mascara to make her eyes pop, and a soft pink gloss on her lips. “Not bad!” she thought as she looked at herself.

Just as she was grabbing her bag, her younger sister, Sejal, popped her head into the room. “Oh, hello, Miss Fashionista! Where are you rushing off to?” Sejal teased, giggling.

Riddhima, still flustered, exclaimed, “I thought it was 8:00! I’m late for college!”

Sejal laughed and said, “Oh, no! It’s only 7:00. I forgot to change the time on the clock. Remember I set it fast to send streaks on Snapchat? I didn’t want my friends thinking I went to bed at 10:00, so I changed it to 12:00 instead!”

Riddhima rolled her eyes, feeling a mix of annoyance and relief. “You’re impossible, Sejal! Why would you do that?”

Sejal shrugged and grinned. “Because I wanted to have fun! But you look really nice, so it’s all good!”

Riddhima shook her head but couldn’t help smiling a little. “Thanks! But I still need to hurry.” She rushed downstairs to find her mother setting the breakfast table.

“Riddhima! Breakfast is ready!” her mother called out. Riddhima joined her family at the table, where the delicious smell of parathas filled the air.

“Eat quickly, or you’ll be late,” her mother said with a smile.

“Thanks, Mom!” Riddhima replied, eagerly digging into her breakfast. She chatted with her family, but her mind was buzzing with excitement and nerves about her first day at college.

After finishing her breakfast, Riddhima grabbed her bag and headed out the door. The morning air felt fresh as she stepped outside.

When Riddhima arrived at Riverdale College, her heart raced with excitement. The campus was beautiful, with tall trees, colorful flowers, and groups of students laughing and chatting. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. “This is it!” she thought, feeling both excited and a little scared.

As she walked toward the main building, she admired the scenery, lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, she bumped into someone, and her books flew out of her hands, scattering across the pavement.

“Ow! Watch where you’re going!” a sharp voice exclaimed.

Riddhima looked up to see Ishani Rai Singhania, a girl with striking features and a confident air about her. Ishani was dressed in expensive clothes, and she had an attitude that made Riddhima feel small.

“I’m so sorry!” Riddhima said, kneeling down to pick up her books. “I didn’t mean to bump into you.”

Ishani scoffed, crossing her arms. “Are you blind? Can’t you see where you’re walking?” She looked Riddhima up and down, her expression unimpressed. “Do you even belong here? You look like you just rolled out of bed.”
