Maya's jaw has never dropped faster after what I told her about everything that happened last night. "I think he wants you. BAD." She paces around my room back and forth. 
"I think he just wants to make the last two weeks miserable." I pinch the bridge of my nose and flop back onto the mattress. "I think you should quit fucking up and pick one. Trent never got his answer, y'know?" Maya plopped down next to me, slapping my hand once she saw I was biting my nails. 
"I know, I know. How do I tell him I don't think it would work out?" I flick the piece of fingernail and turn my head to look at Maya. "You should just text him. A face to face might result in Jude interrupting again." She shrugged. 
"Fuuuuuuck." I groaned in agony. Maya grabbed my phone from the edge of the bed and shoved it in my face. "Stop making everybody wait on you and just come out clean!" 
I grab my phone and pull up iMessages. The last time I texted Trent was after he landed.

Did you land?

Yeah, me mum and I just landed.
You should be asleep, it's late.

I can't when idk where u are😞

I'll see you later tonight, okay?

"He probably would've asked you for some alone time." She wiggled her brows awkwardly. "Ew. Don't do that." I shoved her face away. "How do I tell him that we should stay friends?" I anxiously sit up, running a hand through my hair.
"First, say hi to him for politeness before you crush his soul." Maya sounds way too optimistic for a situation like this. "Thanks. That makes me feel a lot better." I glare at her. My fingers glide across the screen and I wait patiently (impatiently) for a response.
Hey can we talk about
 what happened last night?
I feel like your boyfriend

I stared at the text for several seconds that turned into minutes. Maya almost took the phone from me to snap back at him. Thankfully my reflexes are quick and I move to the other side of the bed.
I think we shouldn't change how things are
I like how comfortable we were as friends

I don't know what I feel.. everything is
