2 years later🫶🏾.
gabby and jackie have been married for 2 years. even through the rocky relationship them getting married really strengthened their relationship and the trust & communication was built within.
they both wanted to have kids ofc with them agreeing jackie would carry the first one but plans changed and they both ultimately decided to continue to wait.
basketball was the biggest part of their lives and their only 29 & 30 so they had plenty of time to try for a baby later on in life.
jackie was still playing with the aces and gabby was still playing with seattle and both teams loved each other so much they would often spend time with each other in the off szn.
gabby ended finding out 1 year after the 1 year anniversary that she had a tumor in her brain so she had surgery to remove it and ofc jackie was there every step of the way in helping her recover.
now it's been a year since her surgery and she still deals with the side effects of it but it's not too bad she still can do her daily activities include play basketball.

"hey mama wyd ?" i asked.
"nothing just chillin by the pool" she smiled at me. i nodded and sat beside her.
"so how are you doing ?? mentally ?" i asked.
"okay i guess. im still worried" she mumbled.
"hey you're okay baby. we talked to the doctors and the side effects are totally normal." i said rubbing her face.
"ik i just worry that maybe this a little to much for you at least. we both play basketball in different states may i add and-
"okay baby stop. first of all i was by your side every step of the way from the moment you found out til now. im doing just fine. it's never too much and i don't mind" i said.
"you promise ?" she asked.
"i promise my love. i didn't say i do for no reason baby. through sickness and health" i said looking at my ring.
"i love you" she smiled.
"i love you more beautiful" i said as we kissed.
"now the girls are gonna come over and so are leila and kiare and we're just gonna hang out. and you are gonna rest your body cus you are exhausted" i said standing up.
i held my hand out for hers and she smiled and grabbed in and we walked inside. tip texted me and lmk they were outside so i told her the door was unlocked and for her to just come in.
"hey gabby how are you beautiful" tip asked as they hugged.
"im good thank you for asking and you ?" gabby asked.
"im good. i brought you oreos" she said making gabby excitedly clap.
"omg thank you so much. i love me some oreos" she said making me smile.
"HELLO TO THE YOUNGS" chelsea said walking in follows by a'ja ac and kb.
"hey guys come on in" i said.
"ouu jackie whipping it up in the kitchen iktr" kb said making me laugh.
"i brought cranberry juice since gabby don't drink alcohol anymore" syd said.
"thank you so very much syd. i really appreciate it" gabby said sitting it on the table.
"mhm you're welcome bookie" syd said.
"so how are you ?" ac asked.
"good i been sleeping a lot which has helped so much. and im working out full out which is amazing" gabby said .
