When Harry arrived at Potions class, he noticed Professor Umbridge in the corner lurking with her clipboard of parchment and a self-inking quill poised in her right hand, ready to inspect Professor Snape.
At the end of her inspection, she asked "So what can you say about Professor Snape's teaching?" There was silence before Harry replied: "We like his lessons! Yes, Professor Snape is strict, but if you follow his instructions, everything always works

Severus's POV:
After looking at the scars etched into Harry's flesh that read: I must not tell lies, Severus changed his mind.
"Put away your scrolls!" he ordered the class. "The test is moved to the next lesson."
He flicked his wand and a recipe for murtlap essence appeared on the chalkboard.
"Look at the board," he directed the class. "Today, I will teach you how to make an herbal tincture."
After learning how to make murtlap essence to heal the scars from the blood quill Umbridge had forced him to use, Professor Snape asked Harry to stay after class.
