The footsteps echoed off the walls as Charlotte approached Peter Hale's apartment. They needed to talk, they both knew that but the girls heart longed for just a few more moments. A few more moments before she lost the love of her life, the man she would set the world aflame for, the man who she would give her last breath for.
Peter was the light in the darkness, the air that filled her lungs and the reason a smile rested upon her lips and she was about to lose that. A part of her feared what she would become without the Hale man.
Peter's lips pressed to her head, Lottie's eyes fluttering closed at the action.
Peter bought peace upon her, he calmed the beast that lay beneath her skin begging to be released.
Lottie ran her clammy palms against her black leggings, taking a deep breathing trying to calm the rapid beating of her heart, but nothing could get rid of the lump that was stuck in her throat as she opened the door to the apartment that held so many memories of laughter, joy, contentment, "I love you" whispered into the darkness, the place was home.
"Man this is already sad." Liam mumbled sniffing slightly
"Hey." The breathless whisper passed the tribrids lips as her eyes locked with the blue she adored
"Hi." Peter murmured, his breath hitching
He knew what was coming and he was not at all prepared for it. Honestly the Hale man knew this has been coming ever since the girl found out she was aged backwards.
"It's funny how it always comes back to your decisions that always hurt Charlie and Peter." Katherine's tone held a bite to it as her brown eyes glared at the woman who raised Charlotte but had done wrong by her in more ways than one
"I didn't know it would lead to this." Talia defended but her eyes held guilt, she knew she had done wrong but there was no going back now
"But you knew that the consequences of your actions wouldn't be good. You knew you were robbing both them and Malia of true happiness, a chance to grow as a true family. Charlie, Peter and Malia may become a family in the future once they know the truth but they will never get back the 17 almost 18 years you robbed them of. You knew that when you decided to split their family up yet you did it anyway, consequences be damned. But then again i'm fairly certain you never expected them to find out about Malia in the first place, did you?" Katherine's words held a knowing tone as she stared at the woman
