Jon looked at the castle from his ship, but he couldn't bring himself to care about its beauty. All he could think of was the upcoming war and how he was going to save his people. He wasn't even sure if it was possible. Ser Davos joined him by his side. Jon admired Ser Davos very much. Ser Davos always calmed him down, and Jon couldn't be more grateful to him for what he had done for him. He was there for him during confusing times, unlike others. Jon appreciated that.

"Get ready to face her, lad. You really need her and her dragons for what's coming."

"I hope she agrees..." Jon replied with a sigh.

Nobody was there to welcome or guide them when Jon and Ser Davos disembarked from the ship. He told the men to stay on the ship while he went to speak with the queen. Jon didn't want any special attention from the queen, but he didn't expect to receive no attention at all. At the very least, they could have led him to her.

"Looks like we're not welcome here. You're in for a rough ride, my lad," Ser Davos said.

All Jon could do was sigh.

When they reached the entrance of the castle after all the stairs, Jon saw Lord Tyrion after a long time. He looked old and weary, with a wine glass in his hand. Tyrion looked surprised to see him there, and Jon felt the same. What was the dwarf doing here?

"Lord Tyrion?"

"I heard you became the King in the North. How did that happen?"

"Long story. I could ask you the same. What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story too. I'm now the former Hand of Queen Daenerys." Tyrion looked miserable when he said that. Jon didn't know what to say, so he opted to change the subject.

"Where is Queen Daenerys? I came bearing important information."

"I guess you want her help in defeating 'The Others'."

Jon was shocked. How did he know that?

"Yes, I'm here to ask for an alliance. Also, you believe that the White Walkers are not just a story?"

"Oh, I don't believe in White Walkers. I think you're here to lure Queen Daenerys into a trap in the name of the White Walkers. But the Red Woman who served Stannis Baratheon came here and spouted nonsense about the Others and how you are the Prince that was promised and all that shit."

'The Prince that was promised? What is that?' Jon didn't know what Melisandre had said to Daenerys, but he needed to assume the worst so he could prepare himself before meeting Daenerys.

"Let me get Missandei. She'll show you where the Queen is. She's everything here. After that, I'm going to get myself piss-drunk. Doesn't matter anymore." After mumbling something like that, Tyrion went to call Missandei.

Some time later, a beautiful foreign girl came to greet them.

"Good day, I am Missandei. Lord Tyrion will not be here to escort you. If you tell me why you are here, I can inform the Queen and see if she is willing to meet you." She was polite, which he did not expect after feeling unwelcome.

"I need to meet Queen Daenerys and talk to her about something very important. It's very dangerous, and the Queen must know immediately. I am here to propose an alliance to fend off the upcoming danger." He spoke just as he had practised with Sansa and Ser Davos. Being a King was very hard.

"The Queen is in the middle of breakfast. Let me inform her. Do understand if she says she cannot meet you now."

Ser Davos said, "We understand; after all, we are the ones who came here unannounced." Thank the gods he spoke before Jon could. Jon was about to urge her on how important the matter was. He would have made things worse. Ser Davos knew him very well.
