Yuri was fast asleep, Minho next to her, shirtless, while she wore only shorts and a thin tank top. Both of them were in Yuri's room, oblivious to the outside world.
Suddenly, a loud alarm pierced the stillness, the lights flashing red in every room, the siren blaring like an ominous warning.
"What the fuck is going on?" Yuri groaned, blocking her ears as she fell back onto the bed, desperately trying to shield herself from the noise.
"Wake up!" Minho shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos as he yanked the blanket off her and wore his shirt.
"Noooo!" she whined, pulling the pillow over her head.
Before they could process the situation, Chris barged in, urgency etched on his face. "Hurry up! We don't have time!"
Minho, growing fed up with the commotion, scooped Yuri up in a fireman's carry, her protests muffled.
As they made their way outside to the van, the rest of the members were already there, weapons in hand. Minho held two guns along with Yuri.
"Seriously? I thought we agreed the drill happens in the afternoon, not at 3 fucking AM!" Yuri yelled, trying to wriggle free from Minho's grip.
"it's not really a drill if you know when it happens," Changbin pointed out, his voice taut with tension.
"This isn't a drill!" Chris barked, pushing them into the van, the urgency palpable.
"What's happening?" Jeongin asked, glancing nervously at the others.
"What do you think?" Chris snapped as he slid into the driver's seat, starting the engine.
"They found us," he said grimly, glancing back at them.
"Who?" Seungmin asked, his brows furrowing in concern.
"BE:LIFT," Chris replied, gripping the steering wheel tightly.
"Oh, we are so dead," Jisung whined, glancing around at his friends, the reality of their situation sinking in.
"Yuri!" Minho said suddenly, his voice low but intense. "You can't go out like this." He had grabbed a pair of sweatpants of the floor and tossed them at her. "Put these on."
Yuri caught the sweats, blinking in confusion. "Are you serious? We're about to be attacked, and you want me to change?"
"Yes! You'll be more modest" he insisted.
"Yeah, because modesty is my top priority right now," she replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes but quickly slipping on the pants, grateful for the added coverage.
"Good. Now, keep your head down and stay close," Minho instructed, his expression softening as he caught her gaze.
"Are we seriously going to fight?" she asked, her voice wavering slightly.
"We'll do whatever it takes to get through this," he said, determination in his eyes.
As they drove into the night, the gravity of the situation weighed heavily on everyone. Chris steered the van through the winding roads, the lights of the city blurring past them.
"Any plans?" Felix asked, his voice steady despite the rising tension.
"Not really," Chris admitted, his fingers tightening on the steering wheel as he glanced at the road ahead.
"Great. So we're just winging it?" Jisung asked, raising an eyebrow. "Where are you even taking us?"
"Into the unknown," Minho quipped, unable to resist the joke.
