A few weeks have passed since Felix and I started meeting in secret. It's been fun getting to know each other better, but lately, our time together has mostly revolved around studying. Between the group sessions with Layla, library study times with Camèlia and Imani, and my solo study efforts, I haven't felt this prepared for midterms.
Tonight is the night before the big exams. My bags are packed, my clothes are neatly folded, and I'm going to bed right on schedule. Nothing can ruin this for me.
Of course, I spoke too soon. I woke up late the next morning. I rushed to get ready, but halfway to my class, I remembered I had forgotten my bag. I arrived at the exam hall just in time; I was relieved, but my mind wasn't in the right place. After finishing my first midterm, I walked out feeling a mix of emotions. I was glad it was over, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I could've done better. I wondered how the others were faring.
Camèlia's POV
I just finished my first midterm, and I feel fantastic! All that studying really paid off. Oh, Jonah doesn't stand a chance, and neither does the vandal. Speaking of which, since midterms began, I haven't heard anything about him or her. It must be a student causing all the trouble.
Felix's POV
These midterms are kicking my ass. I'm working through the problems, but I feel unsure about every single one. I just hope I can get my act together by the end of the week.
Jonah's POV
I'm absolutely crushing Camèlia. She's going to regret all those insults. Plus, my parents are going to be so pleased. But I'm still stressed about the vandalism situation. I can't afford to get caught, especially with Felix and Imani involved.
Imani's POV
These midterms are really stressing me out. I need this week to be over. How am I supposed to juggle modeling, social media, and being the vandal all at once?

After Midterms
mani, Aadaya, and Camèlia are sitting together, laptops in hand.
"Are you guys ready to see your grades? We'll open them on three."
"Ready," Camèlia and Aadaya respond in unison.
"One, two, three!"
"Oh my God, I got an 85%!" Camèlia exclaims.
"Yes! I got an 83%!" Aadaya cheers.
"Thank you, Lord! I got an 80%!" Imani adds, her voice full of relief.
"Let's go out tonight to celebrate!" Camèlia suggests, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "We deserve it after all that hard work!"
"Absolutely! We should hit up that house party that upperclassman is throwing," Aadaya agrees.
Imani's mind races with an idea. "I'll text Felix and let him know about our plans. Maybe he can join us Im sure he wants to see Aadaya to I cant believe they think theyre actually doing a good job hiding it."she thinks to herself
Imani:
Hey, you in for the party tonight?Felix:
Definitely. I could use a break after all this studying.Imani:
I think we should use this party to get Jonah and Camèlia to make up. If we can get them in the same space, maybe they can sort things out.Felix:
That's risky... but it might just work. They both need a push to let go of the past."
Jonah's POV"So, what did you get?" Jonah asks Felix, excitement evident in his tone.
"I got a 90%," Felix replies, grinning.
