"So Sakura-chan? How does it feel now?"

Sakura touched the end of her strands, surprising herself and instantly moving a little above it, to see if it was also the same. Her fingers felt an incredible softness upon touch, something that she definetely hadn't felt before even with her mother's expensive products at home.

"Nohara-sensei, this is incredible!" Her eyes were almost turning into stars from how much they gleamed "It's like they never intertwined at all."

The brunette chuckled, reaching to close the little pot she brought with her. It had an special cream inside which carried an sweet and delicate smell.

"Well, I can't say I don't understand how you feel. I used to have mine like that all the time. It almost gave me a lot of trouble in some occasions." Her brown eyes moved sideways, her brows down in nervousness "But then, I ended up discovering this little tip to keep it on check."

"Well, I can scent an pretty good smell. Is this some sort of oil?" The girl asked, passing an simple comb on her strands and looking at the room's large mirror that she brought closer to herself.

"I also have an oil, but this one is actually an special hair cream I made myself." Rin smiled warmly, also taking one of her own combs and starting brushing the pink strands from behind.

"Huh?! You know how to do hair cream?" The green eyed girl peeked up in curiosity.

"As a matter of fact I do!" Rin's soft voice cheerfully exclaimed, her eyes closing friendly for one brief moment before continuing "You know, back when I had your age, I didn't had to worry about these sorts of problems too much, mostly because my hair wasn't this long back then, hehe. But after I decided to let it grow, I had to find a way for it to stay kept in battle. Otherwise, it could get me in trouble in the middle of the fight."

"Really?"

The kunoichi's answer was an positive hum.

"Weird. I don't consider this as too much of an problem, to be honest. It's not like I'm giving more thoughts to beauty standards then being a ninja by letting it grow a few inches. I really don't care at all about it, mine just kept growing because I focused in other stuff and I just let it be like that." Sakura said, still combing her strands calmly at the mirror,

"My mother always keep saying that I should continue with this reasoning, but sometimes I wished I knew more of these 'tips' instead of just being 'vulnerable' by letting it loose."

"Vulnerable? What do you mean by that?" Nohara asked, being taken off guard by the way her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Um... it might sound a little strange or stupid but... one of my worst fears is someone clasping my hair from behind with force and make me feel powerless. My mother said to me that she passed through this when she was my age sometimes, but the way she dealt with the problem isn't something I want to copy."

Rin stopped her movements for a brief second.

Sakura continued to comb her hair attentively, apparently not noticing her own sensei observing her from behind or maybe just trying to ignore her glare by embaressement.

This was definitely something new.

The brunette thought it would be more... difficult to hear the green eyed girl speak up about something relating to herself — let alone something so personal as fears.

From what Rin heard, Mebuki was someone quite hot-headed when she was a child. According to Kushina—Naruto's late mother—Sakura's mother was constantly compared to the red head, at least personality-wise. In other words, she also never hesitated to punch and kick anyone who spoke ill of her, resulting in many incidents in the past.
