They reach home at eight, Taehyung insisted on leaving earlier than their usual time. The things in the office go all too normal after that slip up from him.
The meeting with the Lee's company, which they are trying to merge with theirs goes well, even though the higher official's meeting gets a little heated up because of different opinions. Taehyung manages it well, not once losing his cool, and Jungkook is glad.
He once again catches up with Jimin on his little break, this time Jimin sizing him up and down and hesitantly asking him about the hickeys on his neck. It leads him to put on a drama about why he should spill this to Jimin when he didn't tell him about Namjoon. He's not going to let Jimin live down on this.
It goes for atleast five minutes and then he's curling up and spilling everything to Jimin.
And thirty minutes later after his small (long) break, Taehyung calls him back to the office once again, chiding at him for wasting his time without working and going around gossiping.
When Taehyung says he's off work, Jungkook looks up surprised because that happens very rarely and he happily packs up his bag, forgetting about what's awaiting him home.
He throws his bag and himself to the couch, sighing heavily and rolls his shoulders because haunching over the computer screen for hours always gives him ugly cramps on them.
He opens his eyes to see Taehyung strolling to the kitchen and taking two plates. "You eating without showering?" He asks raising an eyebrow, because that's unusual.
Taehyung hums, moving gracefully on the kitchen and preparing the table.
"Gross," he says, getting up from the couch and moving to the dining table to  pull a plate towards himself and serving it. He's definitely gross too.
Taehyung chuckles and sits opposite from him, serving himself a plate. They starts eating and he brings about the heated conversation the other officials had in the meeting, Taehyung reassures him it'll be fine. Some are disappointed about the merging with the Lee's but Taehyung says it's just because they are afraid to give away or split their power with them coming to the picture. Which is stupid if you ask Jungkook because they are up there for a reason and will be kept there by Taehyung if they continues their usual hardwork and Taehyung trusts them so much, hence their higher position.
He thinks some shouldn't be even there if they only think about losing their position and not see how benefiting it will be for their company.
Taehyung takes upon cleaning the dishes and tells him to freshen up, he puts up a fight just for a show like 'I'll do it Taehyung, ahh you really gonna do it? Fine' he doesn't even give Taehyung a second to tell him back as he rushes upstairs with a giggle hearing Taehyung laughing at his silliness.
It's when he removes his clothes for the shower he remembers the noon endeavours, he strokes at the red bite sized bruises on him while blinking at himself in the mirror. Jungkook smacks his forehead a little, biting his lips as he feels nervous excitement deep inside him.
Taehyung seemed like he doesn't remember just like Jungkook, and he looked way too nice to be still holding it up on Jungkook.
He thinks as he showers, taking a little extra time on cleaning himself, for, just in case, you know. It seems like the plan he had in the office about not telling a word about it worked, even though he himself forgot about such a plan.
He puts on his comfort sweatpants and tshirt thinking about how he couldn't shut his mouth at the office, pouting a little at his own brat self.
Jungkook opens his bathroom door, a little hesitant, and looks to his bed, there is no one there, he notes with a little disappointment. There is a little relief he feels about it, like a prey being happy that it has escaped from it's predator.
