Writing a fighting scene <<<< literally anything else

───── ❝ 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 ❞ ─────

The field seemed to pause at the sight of the new person who seemed to be known by our two outlanders. Ace turned to stare bug eyed at the two–well most specifically you. “DAD?!” He gawked. [Name] and Elima both ignored him in favor of the approaching male. Stein stepped forward, nonchalantly smoking the cigarette between his lips while adjusting the large screw that was literally on his head.

Stein did know where he was, but he didn’t like it. The air buzzed with something almost static like and every single person here was a witch. His hands subconsciously twitched, every neverending screamed at him to attack, to take every single one of them out, grab his kid, and leave. But something (was stopping him) told him not to.

[Name] walked up to her father, momentarily forgetting everything around her. Stein looked at his kid, confusion lit in his eyes. He grabbed her face and ran a finger along a few of the seams across her face. Noticing that they were still in place and not loose, he nodded and moved to check for any other possibly visible injuries. “Where are we?” He muttered while doing the examination.  “A place called Twisted Wonderland.” Stein paused. His eyes locked with yours.  “Twisted Wonderland? That’s not anywhere in or around Death City. I don’t even think that place exists anywhere.” “That’s because we’re kinda sorta in a different world, Professor.” Elima’s voice slightly echoed as he was still in weapon form. Stein’s eyes trailed over to the blade of the scythe in [Name]’s hands.  “Another world?” Stein muttered. The gray metal shined, revealing Elima’s form nodding.

Just as Stein was about to say or ask anything else, a low groan came from the monster behind them. Stein and [name] turned their attention back to the overbolt incarnation. “It’s still alive?” Stein was…intrigued. The amount of power he put into the initial charge should have been enough to keep the thing down, if not killing it. But then again, he just learned that they were in a new world so maybe that had messed with the effectiveness? Perhaps.

Out of the corner of his eye, Stein saw the mages around him move their magic pens into position. He tensed up a bit after the fluctuation in the air around them and their pens…or maybe it was from the monster. Either or, Stein isn't completely sure. Stein looked over to his daughter, who had gotten into position to attack again. “Go ahead. I’ll give support.” [Name] nodded and sprinted off. The overbolt Riddle raised his magic pen and at his command, thorns shot out once more towards your speeding figure. The vines were immediately burned by the onslaught of blue fire.

Stein couldn’t help but whip around to find the source only to find a rather upset flaming cat. Grim’s fur stood on end, ear pulled flat against his head and teeth bared. “Did you really think you’d outplay the Great Grim? Well I’ll show you.” The monster breathed in as much air as his lungs would allow and released a torrent of fire. Ace followed soon after, combining his signature spell with Grim’s fire and creating a large tornado of fire that burned any incoming vines.

Stein’s attention is called at the sound of cards falling to the floor. Cater is closer to Trey, turning incoming vines into cards and clearing a path for [name]. The male huffed, already feeling the toll of using this much magic in one sitting. He’s too distracted to notice the vines heading right for him. Luckily, Stein is fast enough to move the male from his previous spot before he nearly died. Cater didn’t even realize he had been moved until the crash of vines sounded from his original spot.
The moment Stein touched base on the ground, he was already running towards the Bolt incarnation. His hands sparked with electricity as he matched pace with you. You both ran together, zig zagging on occasion to avoid the magic directed at you both. Pushing a bit more strength into your legs, you speed up enough to get to the side of the bolt incarnation. You moved to slice the tendrils connecting Riddle to the incarnation and managed to get a clean slice through. However, as you swung back to cut through the incarnation itself, it had already connected back with Riddle. “Dammit. Too slow again!” Elima quickly shifted into a shield, just in time to take the blunt of the blow meant to hit your lower abdomen. Stein was quick on the offense to cover your blind spot. He placed both hands on the back of the incarnation and activated his Two Palm Soul Menace – Twin Spears technique. The bolt and Riddle shouted in pain. It writhed and twitched in pain, momentarily incapacitated.
Suddenly, you got an idea.

“Scythe form. Now.” His form glowed and quickly switched back into a scythe. “Soul Resonance…” Bringing your arm back, you threw Elima as hard as you could.  However, at the speed in which he was spinning, his form more so represented a circular saw blade. The tendrils are sliced like butter. But before Elima gets close to the ground, an invisible tug launches him back to your awaiting hands. For a moment, you lock eyes with Riddle and for a fleeting moment, Riddle feels…scared? Defeated? Ashamed? “I’m wrong…” His eyes softened a bit and his gaze turned downcast. ”But that’s impossible…”
“Witch Hunt Slash! 魔女犭守り” When you swing back, the slash–reminiscent of the ginning moon back home–appears and the bolt incarnation is slice in half before it can reconnect with Riddle. The incarnation screeches in anger having lost its connection to its host. An ink-stained tear falls just as Riddle starts to lose consciousness.

“Isn’t it….Mother?”

The incarnation screeches out one last time as its body begins to puff up like a balloon. The instant it pops, your head feels as if it’s going to explode. Everything is ringing and something inside you becomes restless. Things are suddenly too bright. Sounds are suddenly too loud. The air is suddenly too thick, too thin; unbreathable either way. Unable to breath, you drop–blacking out without warning. You can feel your father catch you just before you go out completely.
Perhaps being so close to the bolt wasn’t such a good idea.

◆ Fun fact: the stitches all over [Name]'s body are mostly real. Unlike traditional stitches, these ones are particularly prominent and never fade due to their special attributes
◆ Fun fact: Since the stitches are real, they can come undone.
◆ Fun fact: As mentioned in a different chapter, [Name] had the tendency to pick at the stitches since to her, it feels like a foreign object wriggling under her skin and she does not like it. Due to the fact that the stitches are as fragile as new ones despite being years since they were placed, Elima often has to stop [Name] before the stitches come loose.
◆ All flashback chapters will not have secrets at the end

I have 46. Forty-six different story concepts just sitting in my drafts.
I've got so many more story ideas that are just piling up and I can't stop it.
McDucking forty-six I have a serious problem ( ̄ー ̄)
Let's be honest, I think I might just post another book just so I can have somewhere to dump all the ideas I have floating around the back of my head.

1st note: These next few chapters would have been out a lot sooner (beginning of june) but the author wanted to hold these off and do a mass upload so she wouldn’t have to do anything on her birthday. As you can see, she had them typed up but didn’t have the motivation to upload them for several months. So sorry bout that.
2nd note: I know the story so far may seem extremely boring because of how close it knits with the ongoing plot of the game, but I swear I have it all roughly planned out. It's getting there.
