Sid barged into my cabin, door unbothered by a knock as always.

"Jab dekho, bas piche piche aa jata hai," I murmured, rolling my eyes.

"Am I interrupting something lovebirds?" he asked, flashing that signature smirk of his.

"Knock karna toh ata hi nahi hai," I shot back, slowly unwinding my arms from around Esha.

"Chup! Tujhe bada aata hai," he teased, heading straight for Esha.

"Toh Miss Rose, kaisi hain aap?" he chimed in, wrapping her in a hug. "Sab okay? Thodi der pehle puchna bhool gaya," he added with a wink.

I walked over, "Hath hata," I said, smacking his hand.

"Nahi hataunga," he grinned, pulling her in for another hug.
I need to plan a murder soon.

"Pitega Sid, ab hath hata!" I warned, pulling Esha back to me with a mock glare.

“Guys, stop pulling me here and there,” Esha shot us a fierce look, her glare shifting between me and Sid.

“Esha, everything’s fine now. You don’t need to worry, okay?” Sid said.

“Yes, I’m glad things are getting back on track,” she responded, offering a small smile. Meanwhile, I was too busy twirling a strand of her hair to really focus on their conversation.

“You’re coming to the wedding, right?” Sid asked, turning to her.

“Yeah, mom and dad called. They won’t be able to make it to the wedding, but they’ll be at the reception here. So, I’ll be there for sure,” she replied.

Sid’s elder sister Reva—who’s like a sister to me, too—was getting married next week in Goa. It was a five-day celebration, and I couldn’t wait to spend more time with my Rose. The thought of it made me giddy with excitement.

“Kya sapne dekh raha hai?” Sid pinched my cheeks, snapping me out of my daydream.

“Jo tu dekh bhi nahi paa raha,” I teased back, tugging at his cheeks in return.

“Tujhe kya pata,” Sid said with a mischievous grin. What is going on in his head I need to know.

“Hogaya tum dono ka? Now come home with me and help me pack my stuff,” Esha interjected, finally pulling our attention back to her.
