Fire me

                                    

                                          
Randy Orton came to the ring with his two protégés, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, along with a couple of high-priced lawyers and his therapist. Randy addressed his actions last week when he kicked Mr. McMahon in the head. He said "Wrestling is a part of me, but something else is also a part of me – something I have been living with for a long time. It's called IED – intermittent explosive disorder." He claims he was sufficiently provoked by Stephanie and Vince and that the WWE knew about his condition but chose to do nothing about it. Which this was the first time Alexis had heard anything about this IED.
Orton went on to say "Stephanie if you fire me tonight, I will sure you and the World Wrestling Entertainment." 
He went on to say "I won the rumbler last night fair and square and earned the tile shot at WresleMainia."
A long pause and he continued saying " If I am fired I will file a separate lawsuit over the contact being broken and if I go so does Cody and Ted." 
Alexis was rolling her eyes she liked Tandy but this was a little dramatic. He went on reading a statement apologizing for the trauma he cause the McMahon family by his actions last week, hoping they could put the incident behind them and move on.
As Randy continued to talk, Alexis, who had been standing by in disbelief, finally had enough. She went to the corner yelling for someone to get her a mic " GET ME A DAMN MIC!"  As they watched in disbelief that she was interrupting Randy she finally got a mic and said  " listen I like you, Randy, and I don't really have a say because my father trust Steph here more than me but trying to cancel WrestleMania is the most idiotic idea! You understand right it's just plain stupid." She seethed out.
Randy got upset she interrupted only to insult him and he was just starting to like her. He walked over to her and got in her face Steph trying to stop them but Alexis stops her and says "It's fine I said my piece let him speak." 
Randy went on to say, "The only idiot here is your father! Who might I add is in the hospital for crossing me so I'd watch it." Alexis laughed and then turned waking away before turning back around quick and hitting him right in the temple with the microphone. The crowed gasp and started chanting "RKO". Randy, visibly angry, pushed his forehead against hers staring into her eyes but she stared right back not scared before he finally calmed himself down and backed away getting back to business. 
Randy turning to Stephanie continuing about canceling WRESTLEMANIA if she fired him. After a while he finally just looked to Stephanie and started begging her to fire him, "Go ahead, Steph, fire me! I am begging you to FIRE ME. Let me sue this company let me hear the word you father was about to say before I kick him in the skull. FIRE ME NOW!" The tension in the ring was palpable as everyone awaited Stephanie's response. Alexis almost laughing at him jumping around begging to be fired.
Stephanie went on to say "Randy, firing you would be to easy...we've got bigger plans."
Randy looked up and Alexis could almost feel his glare on her as if she knew anything like her fathers tells her anything she almost wanted to say from behind Stephanie. 
Right after that Shane's music plays.
                   "Here comes the money."
Shane slowly walks out and standing at the top of the ramp as Randy is staring at him. 
Raw then goes off air.

Alexis paced back and forth in the dimly lit hallway backstage, her heart still racing from the confrontation with Randy Orton. She knew she had crossed a line, but she couldn't stand by and let him manipulate everyone. Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she knew who it was before she even looked at the screen. Taking a deep breath, she answered the call putting it on speaker and sitting it down while pacing.
"Alexis, what the hell were you thinking?!" her father's voice boomed through the phone. "Getting in Randy's face like that? Are you trying to get yourself fired?"
"Dad, I was just standing up for what's right," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "You never say anything to Stephanie, but when I do anything, even breathe, it's bad."
"That's because you've screwed up too much you've screwed up this family and this company with your anger issues and your psychotic states!" he screamed. "You need to learn how to control yourself! You better be taking your medication!" She felt hurt at this.
Alexis jumped at the volume of his voice, but she quickly composed herself. "Yeah, I am a screw up sire." Her father says bye and she just reply's "Okay, bye. Love you." she muttered him not even saying it back, ending the call. She accepted it muttering to herself pulling her hands over her face "no matter what you do, Stephanie is better. You just have to accept it."
Little did she know, Randy had heard the whole call. standing around the corner leaning against the wall, just out of sight, and had caught every word. For a moment, he felt a pang of guilt. Even after she hit him in the head with the microphone. He knew what it was like to be constantly judged and misunderstood. After all, he had his own battles with anger and control.
Randy decided to go take a shower, trying to wash away the tension of the night. But as the hot water poured over him, he couldn't shake the image of Alexis, vulnerable and hurt, trying to defend herself on the phone from her father who kept comparing her to Stephanie. He knew he had to find her and talk to her. 
After his shower, Randy dressed quickly and set out to find Alexis. He wandered through the maze of hallways, asking a few crew members if they had seen her they looked at him weird because why would he want to see someone who had attacked him earlier. Finally, he spotted her sitting alone in a quiet corner, her head resting on her knees. As she was just lost in thought.
"Hey," Randy said softly as he approached. Alexis looked up, surprised to see him wound wrong if he was here to get back at her.  "If your here to get back at me for hitting you I already got the call from the big man I don't need to hear it again."
Randy looked at her and said "I don't care about that anymore, I heard your call with Vince and just wanted to say it's not true I think you're better than Steph if you ask me. " he whispers to her. Almost seeing a smile appear on her face. He then got serious and said "I'm sorry."
Alexis sighed, "It's fine. I'm used to it by now, plus it's not like you said it."
"No, it's not fine," Randy insisted, taking a seat beside her. "I know what it's like to be misunderstood, to have people think you're out of control. But you're not alone in this."
Alexis looked at him, her eyes searching his for sincerity. "Why do you care?"
"Because I see a lot of myself in you," Randy admitted. "And I don't want you to go through what I did. You deserve better."
For the first time that night, Alexis felt good like she had a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn't as alone as she thought. And as she sat there with Randy, she realized that sometimes, even the most unlikely people could become allies. So she wasn't going to let this drama with her family define who she is or who she is friends with. 
"Thanks, and sorry for hitting you with the microphone I just really like WRESTLEMANIA." Randy laughed at that and just shook his head. 
After about five more minutes of sitting there in silence Alexis finally stood up and said "well I better get going Stephanie is gonna call my dad if I don't get back and I don't feel like talking to him again tonight. Bye"
 Randy mumbled a bye back before watching her disappear behind a corner.
