Wednesday ended up going to the Weathervane with her uncle after the mess of trying to tell Weems about Kinbott, only for the woman in question to be there. She texted Enid that she'd be back in an hour or two, she just wanted to clear her head and think of her next plan. She was talking about the diary with her uncle. "Kinbott has to be Tyler's master. The Hyde lays dormant until unleashed by a traumatic event or unlocked through chemical inducement or hypnosis." She heard Fester slurping on something and looked up to find him squirting ketchup into his mouth. "Are you listening?" He stopped and looked at her, so she looked back down at the diary. "She must've figured out he was a Hyde and used hypnotherapy to unlock him."

"I think the kid behind the counter has clocked me." Wednesday looked over toward the counter and saw Tyler. Shit. She didn't know he was working today. "Yeah. He's walking over. I'm gonna put him in a Romanian sleeper hold. Cover me."

"Relax." Wednesday quickly closed the diary and put it in her backpack, hoping he didn't see it. "That's the Hyde, don't make a scene, he can't know we know."

Tyler reached them and stopped by their table. "I made you a quad. On the house." He set it down for her. "Consider it a peace offering."

But Fester grabbed it. "Hey, thanks kid. Need a refill on this puppy too." He handed him the ketchup bottle.

Tyler took it awkwardly. "Uhh." He turned to Wednesday. "Seemed like you had an interesting book there. What was it about?"

But Wednesday was just giving him a light glare. "Why are you talking me?"

"Just wanted to check in on you. Heard Wanda went missing for a while there."

"That's none of your concern. Now leave me alone."

He scoffed. "Got it." He walked away just as Sheriff Galpin walked in.

Wednesday turned to her uncle, but he was already gone. She stood up and faced him as he walked over, grateful for the timing since she needs to follow up on the blood samples.

Galpin walked over with some papers in his hand. "Tyler." Tyler stopped walking and turned to his dad. "Putting this up around town." He handed him a wanted poster that Wednesday realized was Uncle Fester. "It's a bank robbery suspect, and he's a real creep. You haven't seen him, have you?"

"Uhh, no, he'd be pretty hard to miss. I'll pin it in the bulletin board." Tyler took it and walked away.

Galpin then left too so Wednesday quickly grabbed her bag and followed him out of the cafe. "Sheriff Galpin!"

He stopped and turned to her in annoyance. "What do you want now, Addams?"

"The blood samples. Have you ran them yet?"

"Forensics is still working on it. They ran one sample and there was no match for it in our database."

"It belongs to the person trying to kill Wanda."

"So you say." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "They're running the second sample now. Now if you'll excuse me, I have more important things to do than run my every move by a high schooler." He turned and walked away.

Wednesday clenched her jaw before storming her way back to Nevermore. One would think this would require a sense of urgency since they're right on the cusp of identifying the monster (the police anyway). But no, they're taking their sweet time. This is why she hates people and prefers working alone. People can't be trusted and especially not normie cops. Bianca had that part right from the get go. But there's nothing she can really do about it until they match the blood sample to Tyler. For now she'll just have to bide her time.
